We have had a few of these threads about the size difference between Usyk and Fury. You can dice it up any way you like, but Usyk is about 6'3", and Fury is probably 6'8"-ish. I think Usyk has a damn good shot at winning this. I like both guys...let the better man win...but Usyk is coming to win it like he always does. Thing is, we have had this conversation a hundred times before regarding different fighters. People always ask how Rocky Marciano could beat Sonny Liston or Larry Holmes when he had never faced a quality fighters with an 80-85 inch reach. I aways reply, how could Holmes or Liston beat Marciano when they have never faced a quality fighter who can throw 100 punches in the fifteenth round of a fight. Sorry, it is the big-boys who are just flat-out outclassed. Same could go for Joe Lewis, Joe Frazier, etc. They have their gifts. Going to break similar here. Sure, Fury has his tools, but he sometimes wins rounds landing six punches more than his opponent, or even two. How is he going to deal with Usyk, who threw almost a a thousand in the Gassiev fight? Fury likes to do his ambidextrous bit...is he going to fight southpaw against the best natural southpaw heavyweight ever? Good luck on that. I am by no way saying that Fury can't win, but let's make this interesting throwback fighter we have in Usyk an example of what a good little man can do, and let him speak for the greats of the past.
All good and well in till AJ decapitates him out of the blue in 4 months time Although I have no conviction in that statement.
It doesn't prove anything about other fighters. We've already seen Usyk at 6'3 and 221 beat a 6'6, 240 pounder, so it doesn't matter if he loses to Fury, he's proved he can beat a highly ranked big man anyway.
It's possible that AJ's kryptonite is small men, the smaller the better. I heard he got knocked over sparring Amir Khan. Fury eats small men for breakfast
I am glad you have no conviction because it is utter bollox. Usyk is going to beat him more easily next time.
