Pac whooped his ass twice, and Barrera schooled him. Maidana, Garcia, 8 losses he has.

floyd has cherrypicked, but hes also collected a who's who of modern day HOF fighters and cruised past all of them

i dont buy into the argument that cotto is spent, and the weight floyd fought oscar at certainly was a disadvantage for floyd

after saying that, what floyd did in the JMM fight was shameless...

pre-gatti (and PPV), floyd gets a lot of credit

sure there are plenty of criticisms you can level at him, but hes also fighting naturally bigger men and nobody has beaten him yet

Pre Gatti no question ..But from 140 and up he carefully manuvered his career .And I have to disagree Hatton wasn't naturally bigger than him ..Yeah Mosley was but honestly what version of Mosley did he fight ?

I mean the most seasoned fighter he's faced to date was Oscar ..And that wasn't even the best Oscar ..When you watch people like Leonard and Oscar the standard of fights has been set ,why should I applaud a guy who has done the complete opposite of those 2 no matter how talented he is ?

    cant argue with that
unfortunately the bigger the $$ the bigger the compromise that will come into a fighter's train of thought - most of them anyway

the real problem, however, is the absence of that single governing body in boxing....
it allows the elite fighters to transcend the sport and write their own rulebook, and with zero consequences, to the point where we are now in that the two best fighters in the world cant/wont/didnt fight each other - which would have been the single biggest event to hit boxing

Morales arguably has the greater 2 wins. However Floyds depth is much much much much better. Not even close.

Hell I stopped counting his championship wins a long time ago. Its around the high teens low twenties now.

So why cant any other boxer carefully manuevre to 43-0, 5 weight champion, 8 time champion, something like 20-0 title fights. :think

The lack of a single governing body is what enables these promoters to run wild in the sport .Destroy possible great match ups when the fghters are at their peak and pad fighters records .

I really look at Lucian Bute as a recent example of all that I mentioned .Look what happened when he finally stepped up .I blame that soley on his management ..You can't develop fighters that can be as talented as Floyd if they 1 don't fight often and 2 test themselves against the best when they are at their best .

Those qualities were possesed with Oscar and Ray ..Floyd examples hurt the sport in the long run ..

Simple ,when you fight the best at their peak and often you could end up with losses !:good

Hey but if your impressed by that go look up some other hall of famers ..There are plenty of accompished boxers ..I mean Duran fought for 5 decades ..You think if he took Floyd's route he wouldn't have been an 8 time world champ ..I mean they make up titles these days thats not incredible by boxing standards any more ..
