This is confusing, Danny is undefeated, are you talking about when he was in the amateurs or something?

Is the Salka fight the only fight you've ever seen of Danny's, you are talking about one fight out of 29....what about all the other fights...

Triple G has fought nothing but bums....not one single good fighter....his best win is Gabriel Rosado....

GGG is talked about like a god on here because he destroys whatever is put in front of him.

Garcia is shat on because he wins fights with his eyes closed throwing hayemakers and fighting people like Rod Salka.

Were you one of the judges of the Herrera fight?

Osumanu Odama - only losses were decisions to Daniel Geale, Dyah Davis and Don George (22-3 - 16KO)

Rod Salka - Had 3 decision losses to very little known fighters going into the fight. The WBA/WBC wouldnt even sanction this fight (19-3 - 3KO)

There should be no doubt that Garcia has a better resume that GGG. However, in a sport where perception is reality, Garcia has done himself no favors since that big win over Matthysse. His cred has taken a beating over the past year......

-No Matthysse rematch, which is widely anticipated.

-Fights Herrera instead, which is considered a stay busy fight at the time.

-Gets a fortunate decision vs Herrera, no rematch, which is widely anticipated.

-Inexplicably fights Rod Salka, a grossly overmatched LW with a 70+ ranking, and no KO ability in THAT division. Drags him up to 140 and then doesn't make weight. Celebrates like a buffoon after the predictable early KO. No one should begrudge Garcia a stay busy fight, but the depths to which they trawled to line up an opponent with no hope is sad. Might as well have just had a very public heavy bag session for all the good it did for Danny.

Counter that with GGG, who is trying to get the other big boys of the division into the ring, utterly decimates anyone who he can get into the ring and it's easy to see why he gets the respect that Garcia has widely lost.

All that being said, Garcia can easily get back on track with a win over a good opponent, as he does already have a good resume under his belt as a young fighter. The Peterson fight should have been staged rather than Salka.

Gift Garcia got spanked by Herrera

Gift Garcia is considered a joke after fighting a 77th ranked lightweight and ducking Postol in succession

GGG still undefeated and the most feared man at MW

Garcia shouldnt be mentioned on the same breath as GGG
