Or even worse if Nelo knocks Golovkin out? I mean-surprises, both pleasant and unpleasant, happen in boxing all the time. Who expected Douglas to knock out Tyson? Or for Rackman to knock out Lewis? Or for Gallota to be outpointing the world champ so easily? Or for Broner to barely punch against Garcia? Or for Hopkins to go flying out of the ring? Or for Vitali to quit a fight after being ahead on all cards due to shoulder pain? Or for Corry Sanders to floor Vladimir approx. seven times? Or for John Ruiz to make Holyfield stagger all over the ring after landing one punch?

There are just too many unpredictable factors, such as temporary inattention, technical improvement, sudden aging, etc involved to allow for 100% certainty in this sport,.

 

Actually there is an irreversible physical decline after age 35. You cannot decide to be different than every single man who has ever walked the Earth. You can't just be like "Yea, I'm 35 and all other man has faced physical decline after that age, but I'm a narcissist and I'm different because I'm me". Nah, doesn't work like that. The only thing you can fully maintain at that point is pure raw strength. Everything after 35 begins to decline. Which is speed, power, quickness, stamina, balance, flexibility, coordination, recovering ability, etc.

In street clothes an in shape 35 year old is still a young man. Inside that ring though where every half millisecond counts and every last bit of stamina matters, 35 is an old man.

 

Froch said he was better before 35 than after 35. He said it himself. Froch peaked against Pascal. Not against Kessler II and definitely not against Groves.

Froch looked much better in his 30's than he did during his 20's. Groves 2 was one of his best performances. He looked a lot better against Abraham than he did against Pascal.

 

I think Ive said this like a million times but whatever.. GGG is not prime hes 35 and I definitely think they waited because a couple years back GGG wouldve destroyed Canelo easy.. Even now its still a 50/50 fight.. But only because of GGG being older and Canelo has gotten way better with time.. I will still give either fighter full credit for the win

I said "more technical than physical." I never claimed Golovkin was immortal. In the ring we can observe Golovkin's performance is affected more by his opponent's tactics than any deficiency in speed or durability.

 

Can you elaborate on what a technical decline means? His technique has gotten worse?

 

GGG is not shot.. Canelo gets a **** load of credit from me if he wins. I can't see it.. In my prediction thread I've gone basically 100% besides one robbery.

that weird. But Hopkins was far from physical prime his whole prime.if that's makes any sense.
