It's on youtube. I saw it months back. I couldn't tell you what the name of the video is called. Just the context. Froch was saying how GGG was getting up there and should start to decline. He used his own personal eperience and said that his body started declining around 35 too.

 

Hell Hopkins was better before he was 35 anyways too.

Yes he was. I only mean Hopkins prime came later because he started so old.

Hopkins was all his career somewhat in prime. As he continued to get more skilled his physical attributes dimished.

 

Never heard him say that. Post retirement i heard him go on about how superb his fitness level is since he took up a swimming regimen.

All throughout his Pro career Froch kept a training diary and he was hitting targets in his mid 30 he wasn't hitting his 20's. This is what he had to say at 37

“And I was on it really well for Groves. I broke a record on one of my longest runs. I was lifting more on the deadlift than ever so I knew I was punching harder than ever, and I was stronger than ever – hence Groves getting absolutely f****** flattened.”

You're simply worried GGG will lose to Canelo so are merely getting your excuses in early. GGG is fine , he's not in decline or past his prime. That is all there is too it. Case CLOSED!!

 

There have been thousands and thousands of middleweights over the years and all you were asked to do was list those middleweights who were prime when they were 35 years old.

But after numerous requests you got no list. Nothing!

Your argument is a 37-0 fighter with 33 KO's is out of his prime. You never had an argument.

I was referring to the your assumption that a boxer can't be at his peak at 35. It is an overgeneralization since not everyone ages identically. It also assumes that a peak can't be maintained to that age via constant exercise and practice. Those assumptions don't harmonize with reality. AS I said, Klitscho was KOD twice in his twenties by journeymen. He was never KOD during his thirties and gave a career best performance just recently.

That was his personal experience at that age which he is generalizing to everyone else. It's called an overgeneralization based on scanty evidence. It's like a man going impotant at a certain age during his late thirties and assuming everyone else does.

 

Duran was 38 when he put on that spectacular display against Barkley.

Yes, there has been the odd occasion where middleweights have put up great performances after 35.

But they are few and far between and that's why the few that have occurred are easily remembered and quoted. Single great performances do not signify that someone is still in their prime.

 

Lol. You seriously are just calling GGG P4P now because you want Canelo to be able to get lots of credit or lose less credibility depending on the outcome of the fight.

If we listened to what you said about GGG in the past, then Canelo should retire after losing to GGG, and Canelo should be ASHAMED and called a coward for fighting such a lowly opponent. Lol.
