Let's not forget that Trout beat Cotto more clearly than Mayweather did

People seem to diss Canelos win against Trout by not giving him to much credit for his victory, I know he didn't look spectacular beating him, but I don't think anyone from 154 to 160 will look great against Trout because of his style, The main thing is that he beat his a$$ close but clear, let's give this kid his props for taking and beating a guy who has a very difficult style to look good against.

LOL, Mayweather dominated Cotto and had him ready to go in the 12th. Trout despite bing 20lbs bigger never hurt him.

Though Cotto hit Floyd flush plenty more than he did Trout.

Cotto, if he can return to form a bit, is a big stylistic challenge to Canelo.

I scored Mayweather/Cotto 9-3 and Trout/Cotto 7-5. I think reasonable scores would be those or 8-4 for either.

But I honestly don't think Trout won more clearly at all. Not only did Mayweather win an extra round or two, but he won the majority of his rounds decisively. Trout won most of his in pretty close rounds.

I think Cotto won more rounds against Trout than Floyd, though Cotto hit Floyd much more than he hit Trout......

Well I think otherwise, Cotto is a sucker for those uppercuts Canelo has a nasty one.

I think you're completely wrong in the match-up here....

I think Canelo would dominate Cotto even more than Trout did... i think its a real bad match-up for Cotto. Im not saying that Alvarez is better than Trout, i believe they're about equal in their own ways. But stylistically, i would expect Alvarez to dominate and blow Cotto out of the water BECAUSE of his style. Cotto is there to be hit by an effective puncher and he's not mentally strong. I strongly believe that Alvarez can and would overwelm Cotto by the mid rounds...

I don't know about that. Cotto repeatedly landed powershots to Trout's head.

Cotto's hook for the most part was neutralized when he fought Floyd.

Trout didn't punish Cotto anywhere near as much as Floyd did either

And Floyd beat Mosley more convincingly than Cotto did...in other words, your logic is pathetic...Trout started being severely overrated after he beat Cotto who...I mean lets be real, Cotto is a fighter with a great amount of wear and tear, he was undersized and coming off a loss...

Miguel is too small for 154 honestly, he beat absolutely no one at the weight, it was an okay win for Trout and nothing more, Cotto hasn't been a beast since he campaigned at 140 years ago...

As for trout I have never saw what you other guys saw in him, the Cotto fight was the first I saw of him...I said then that he was nothing special, he IMO is just a fighter that does enough to win, I knew and know he will never been elite, a p4p candidate, a champion at a different weight nor would he beat the best at his weight which are only a few fighters...Austin Trout is and always will be a slightly above average fighter a B- level guy...

It's a respectable win for Canelo because sadly Trout is considered one of the best in a division hurting for true elite talent and he was a true Jr Middleweight...but lets not pretend that Canelo looked spectacular in the win like say a real elite fighter Rigondeaux looked against another elite fighter in Nonito...

With his pathetic work rate, dismal stamina and inability to cut the ring off against a boxer (mover) he will lose if he takes on a guy who can box with power...Canelo will never be a multi weight champion and he will not be the next cash cow...he's a good fighter but not elite or hall of fame material...

I favor Canelo over Angulo, Kirkland, Molina & Smith...

I think he loses to Lara, Vanes & Andrade...

By the way Canelo TKO's Cotto...book it...
