Yep.... I was foolish by picking him to last the distance. I thought Marg might get lazy, and Steward could have at least fixed some of his GLARING defensive weaknesses...

He has an abundance of technical flaws... which is what i pointed out to people here after the Maythsse fight when they were claiming him to be then next superstar of the division, the guy who would stop Cotto.

Dominant victory by Marg never the less.

A question for some here.... How do certain posters RATE a fighter like Andrade, yet totally despise Marg, who is basically an all round better version of Andrade??

THAT boggles the mind right there.

What are your thoughts on the bout?? I hope a swing of AM nuthuggers don't suddenly re-appear now. Very good fighter, not as good as Mayweather, Cotto or SSM.

Would also lose to Quintana IMO..

This fight just highlighted how limited Cintron is.

How anyone would pick him, when he went life and death with ESTRADA is absolutey beyond me...

All this time people tried to say Quintana was the softest of the Puerto Rican Welters because he folded under Cotto's power.

    Funny how things work out.

I really don't see how Cintron is alive... Yes, I said it... ALIVE... He has no heart at all, so I find it a medical miracle for him to be walking and talking and ESPECIALLY boxing when there is a big vacant spot in the middle of his chest where a heart should be.

Who ever rated Cintron that highly anyway?

Magarito is a top fighter, but I never really rated him elite. Two things about him, everyone just got plain tired of the "most avoided fighter on the planet" monicker. And also its hard the consider him with the likes of Mayweather, De la Hoya, SSM or even Cotto .
Even though he could well beat some of them, he was a bit of a victim of the talent and marquee of the division, I dont think many people factored him into it.

Heaps of people.... After he won his title, there were a tonne of people choosing him to KO Cotto because Cotto wouldn't be able to take his punch.

People who also thought Cintron could take him in the rematch...

    Strange...

The poor Clottey showing and Williams loss difused that.:smoke

Cotto would get Marg out in a matter of a few rounds.

I picked Cintron to win tonight. Big mistake. If Margario fights like he did tonight, i'd pick him over Shane.

A lot of people don't like Margarito simply because he tried to make a fight with Mayweather, simple as that. And with his promoter holding the banner "most feared man in boxing" over his head didn't help much.

You got both Floyd and Cotto, who have a big following in ESB and its predictable you will have all sorts of haters who despise Margo for being a threat to their fighters.

Cintron is a threat to anyone in the division, except Margo. He fought the wrong fight against Margo. He lacks a lot of fundamentals. He relies solely on his power. As soon as he saw Margo walk through his best punches, he didn't know what to do. He went in there to try and KO a guy with an iron chin. He still has a puncher's chance against any other welter though, IMO.

Yes, but he's not as accurate and nor would he land with the same accumulation and damage that follows such. Margo cuts and bruised easily, Cotto creates damage on fighters faces consistently like no other I've seen.

Its a 3 way tie between Cintron, Margarito, and Williams.

At least nobody said Cintron would beat Floyd,
