Lets not kid ourselves Fury will get much more credit WHEN he wins then IF Wilder was to win!

That's the sad part. Wilder is in no way deserving of having Furys name on his record. Yet he fantastically cherry picks him just in to his comeback and tries to sell it as 2 prime fighters fighting for no1 in the division... It's quite ridiculous and so far the signs are that the people haven't bought what they are selling

I have to give Wilder props, he picked Fury at exactly the right time. And it's Fury's fault for jumping into this without 1-2 more tune ups. The Pianeta fight showed that he had the old flash and flamboyance, but that his timing was off ... way off. He never hit hard, but he showed zero power vs Pianeta. If Wilder can't put him away then he better replace his bronze mask with a paper bag with eyeholes.

If Wilder is clever he'll come out blazing and try stop him in the first.

If Wilder does his thing of getting the feel of the timing of the opponent before cutting loose he could find himself in trouble, because Fury has a very erratic movement and herky-jerky style. He can't let Fury play his boxing game. I'll go out on a limb and say Fury gets stopped between rounds 5-7.

... looked like crap against the worst version of Pianeta I've ever seen? Nah, that was obvious months ago.

Fury isn't some HOF fighter though. He had one favorable outcome, in a staring contest. As for the current situation, Fury f*ed himself over, and I don't think any amount of time or preparation brings him back to the fighter he was three years ago. I've got a suspicion that he's absolutely shot, but I guess we'll have to see how everything pans out.

I still see this as anyones fight. But the pre-fight ready made excuses are sickening. Whoever wins deserves full credit.

Fury didn’t have to take the fight even Frank Warren told him to take more tune ups

Fury took the fight because he's delusional. He thinks it's ''written in the stars'' for him to win this fight and his destiny, and that god has a higher purpose for him in life (to use as a vessel to help people battling depression/mental illness, alcoholism, and drug abuse) and that he didn't bring him back from the brink and everything he went through to lose this fight.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if Fury wins, not that I think Wilder is a better boxer at all. To keep away from the windmills for 12 will take some doing , I just don't see Fury being able to do it after such a long bout of inactivity plus the huge amount of weight he has had to lose...be great if he can .

Fury said himself on the Joe Rogan podcast, Frank Warren wanted him to do more comeback fights, Fury insisted that he was good to go and to make the fight with Wilder ASAP. Fury, in his own mind is as good and as ready to go for a big fight as he is going to get. He insists he asked for this fight to get made. Now it did, I think Fury is going to outbox him. But if he can't because he wasn't ready he has nobody to blame but himself.
