Lets not kid ourselves Fury will get much more credit WHEN he wins then IF Wilder was to win!

    James5000 knows what I'm on about. ;)

He has an obsession with GGG's weight at middle; claims Golovkin is a massive weight bully despite all the evidence

Shot to smithereens fighters of sound mind know their bodies better than anyone too and think they're still as good as ever, fighters who aren't bipolar and battling mental illness or weren't suicidal alcoholic drug addicts. They're free men who have the right to call their own shots too but it still doesn't change the fact that they're shot to smithereens.

Fury was in an extremely dark place, abused the hell out of his body, and spent a very long time out and subsequently has been very impatient to get back to the top where he once was as quick as possible, hence why he's rushing into a fight of this magnitude after not fighting anyone with a pulse in 3 years which is obviously far from ideal preparation for facing one of the top 2 HWs in the world who is in the midst of their prime, form of their life, and has been very active and possess the power and speed to take him out if he makes a single mistake.

And it's not like there was any need for him to rush either as he could easily have taken his time and waited another 6 months, had 2 or 3 more tune ups against actual world class opposition not scrubs, and then fought Donkey after he'd defended against Breazeale. Had he done it that way, the way that his own father, brother, trainer and many many others wanted and advised him to, he would've given himself the best possible chance of winning and had Donkey taken the same approach AJ did regarding facing Fury (''let him have more time to get back to his best first so there can be no excuses'' *I'm paraphrasing as I can't recall the exact quote* he would get more credit for the win too, because Fury would've actually proven he still had it after the inactivity and all the abuse he's put his body through as opposed to him only having proven that he's capable of beating a pair of scrubs and looking like garbage doing it.

Donkey is a free man too and he had the choice to take this fight now or wait until Fury had proven he was still a top level fighter and he opted for the former. Either face Fury now and get less credit or wait until he has proven he's still got it and not a mere shadow of his former self. Donkey's choice.

Even if Fury looses and still manages to look decent he will get a lot of credit. Wilder needs to make this a one sided beat down for 4 rounds then end it in the 5th. That being said, Fury is saying he's the best he's ever been. I see this going 1 of 2 ways, Fury outclasses Wilder similar to Calzaghe/Lacy or Wilder takes Fury out by 6.

If any Wilder fans are depending on Wilder to get favored treatment on the judge's cards vs. Fury - they better think again.

Ask yourself which fight would have the bigger box office?

    A) Wilder vs. Joshua after Wilder beats Fury (which is what most casuals are predicting)

    B) Fury vs. Joshua after Fury beats Wilder (which most pundits believe is very possible)

Well it's "B" - in fact, it's not close...and don't think for a second that the WBC hasn't realized that. And don't think for a moment they are forgetting how little money they are making off title bouts with Wilder. If Wilder has been getting the benefit-of-the-doubt for his last several fights with the WBC's blessing - it's only because having Stiverne, Szpilka, Washington or Ortiz wearing the belt would generate even less money for them.

Wilder has to KO Fury to beat him - and I don't believe he will do that.

I agree with the point that this fight IS too soon for Fury, IF he does pull off the upset and beat Wilder it will be a huge achievement and will go down in boxing history as one, if not, THE most impressive come back for any boxer. That said..

Who else could Fury realistically have gone in against? He would comfortably beat any other heavyweight out there outside the top 10. He almost had no choice, either he fights another 2 or 3 nobodies in glorified sparring sessions or he steps up and uses his lineal title to get a big fight. Therefore in a perfect world yes he would have fought two guys in the top of the division before stepping in versus an elite fighter, but the world isn't perfect and that was never going to happen.

So best of luck to him tonight, he has nothing really to lose.. I just hope we get a great fight.

Andy Lee who is actually Tyson's cousin gives us a fighter's perspective on how inactivity (a buzzword for many boxing fans when it comes to discrediting certain fighter's wins but one which ever so conveniently they've forgotten for this fight even though there is way, way more on top of just mere inactivity that Tyson had to contend with and try and overcome) and the effect only having a couple of ''exhibition fights'' in 3 years will have on Tyson.

Anthony ''AJ'' Joshua's prediction for the fight. AJ even freely admits here that Wlad's inactivity going into his fight against him played a big part in the fight and his win over him.
