90 percent of of the esb tards were saying alvarado would be too much. Rios beat a very legit 140 pounder in his first move up. People can react the way they want

I dont really follow esb your right. Still though. Rios survived some shake moments an came through. That is more impressive than a walking over on Mike. He showed he could handle legit 140 lb shots well an that was my main concern.

Rios beats guy with style tailor made for him, ESB gets so horny over a 2nd rate Gatti that they start claiming he beats the best of the division when he barely just beat the best of the 2nd tier of the division. C'mon son! Rios is exciting and the fight was FOTY without a doubt but dude is not beating anyone with a chin and bit of boxing ability. Throw him against limited cavemen and he'll usually prevail in an exciting slugfest. Dude will give us some great wars and is one of the best action fighters around but he ain't an A level dude. Just one fight ago he got made to look silly by Abril.

Rios Alvarado for me was maybe the best fight I ever saw live, of course there are other classic fights but i didnt watch them with the suspense this fight had

these 2 guys went at it and it lived up to any form of expectation laid out

wish this occurred in boxing at the PPV level, if only this was on a bigger card that casuals would have seen it could have got some good attention to boxing

a side note about the fight i felt if Alvarado had just gotten space more often he could have landed those big rights more often and maybe have prevailed though he had no defense to the left hook

i agree 100% not to take anything away from rios it was a good fight and he is very exciting to watch but alverado was using some basic boxing skills and winning rounds before the stoppage i had him up by two rounds,, correct me if im wrong but rios has just moved up to 140 and ppl on here are putting threads up about him fighting a 147???? i think he is good but gets hit way to much IMO

He won't, so there's no need to worry about that. Rios has cash cow written all over him so Arum is gonna give fans what they want to see. It's just good business to capitlize on a performance like that so Pac-Rios may actually happen suprisingly enough. I just wish Top Rank and Golden Boy would settle their beef because either Rios-Garcia or Rios-Matthysse would be FOTY.
