I used to love following Katsidis' run. That was a fighter who, for a while, was almost able to transcend his limitations through sheer force of will. Didn't waste time with paper titles, took on the toppermost guys at LW and gave them hard fights both times. Easy to root for.

That frightful beating from Guerrero was when I knew the jig was up (I still marvel at the amount of punishment he absorbed without being stopped), although you could feel it coming in the air. The decline was very steep from there.

My fave of all time, MAB, in the Juárez rematch. He still got the job done, versus a then very good fighter, but you could tell. A once great talent was eroding before our very eyes.

After that I cringed every time a new fight was announced. I was relieved to see him really get up for JMM and turn back the clock for one more halfway decent performance (was expecting him to get dominated & embarrassed) but that was the last spark, and the domination & embarrassment came as expected, sure enough, the next time out in the Pacquiao rematch. :ohno

Then he should've retired straight away in 2007, would've been no shame bowing out after passing his torch on to fellow titans like JMM & Pac. As his biggest fan, were it within my power to wave a magic wand I would gladly make the sacrifice of shaving those extra four wins off his record if that meant Amir Khan didn't get to have Barrera's name on his record in the W column. That fight should've never taken place.

Donaire when he was struggling with Darchinian in the rematch.
I still think Donaire is capable of beating some good fighters but he was once elite.

The chinks started showing in his match against Vazquez Jr. and struggles with Mathebula. I picked Rigo to beat Donaire, but yeah the Vic rematch, it was more than apparent he was beginning his full fledged plummet.

While that did represent a low point in the history of Happy Days, which was a good show for awhile, it was a brilliant creative choice to have the Fonz go water skiing in his leather jacket. You'd think Fonzie would be aware of the fact that he shouldn't get his jacket wet.
