    His legacy at 147 will be severely stained if he doesn't fight Cotto. His ATG rating will also be much lower. He needs Cotto if he wants to prove that he should be a higher ranked ATG. What's with this whole Floyd doesn't owe us anything **** people keep talking about? Floyd is the #1 P4P fighter in the world, he should be fighting the best possible opposition. Roberto Duran didn't "owe us anything" after he beat SRL, but like a true great fighter and champion, he faced the most dangerous opposition around him. Same with numerous other great fighters.

    As for not being happy with Floyd, if he takes the Cotto match, win or lose I will gain a lot of respect for him and the majority of boxing fans would too.
    Margarito was never even close to being a threat to Floyd. Anybody who even thinks Margarito has a 5% chance to beat Floyd is blind.

    Those offers were made BEFORE the DLH fight...which put Floyd on another level. You don't seem to get it. Look at what Floyd was making BEFORE DLH...

    He made 10 million against Baldo, 2 million more than he would've made fighting Margarito.

    how in the **** is that pricing himself out , he got twice that for fighting hatton and the money was there and some ..

    How can you possibly say 10 million is pricing yourself out when the fight is worth so much more then that!?!?

    I'm sure they were looking at a number of fights beforehand. One of which was Margarito. He doesn't have a divine right to fight Floyd Mayweather you know...

    As it happens, he made way more fighting De La Hoya. Why the **** would you be scared of Margarito, yet willing to step up and fight a much bigger guy?

    Do you honestly think Goosen would have paid Floyd 8 million and 1 if Arum hadn't offered 8 milll before? He did that to save Floyd's face.

    Obviously losing to DLH for 20 mill is more rewarding then losiong to someone like Msrgarito for 8 mill.

    And can we please keep in mind, Arum made the offer when DLH wasn't sure he was fighitng..and Mayweather had NO OPPONENT.

    dude shut the **** up !!! the man just made over 20 million for fighting Hatton and will more then like top that once the Cotto fight is made under his own terms ..

    Wrong newbie... Arum tried to make that fight. Tried to make a fight w/ Judah. Tried to make a fight w/ Winky and Shane as well. How the f*ck was he waiting for a payday against Floyd when they were willing to give Floyd pretty much al the money? Learn before you speak newb.:patsch

    let see he got more then what he was asking arum for the Hatton fight and will more then likely top that once the Cotto fight is made .. the 6-7 million ant **** to what the fights were truly worth.

    my point is those fight could have been made if Arum would not have tried to screw the fighters of the true worth of the fights.

    Is any one surprised that Cotto is getting a little restless with arum bull **** now..
