But an Arreola fight would keep Wladimir active, and he's undefeated, so it's better than wasting time waiting on Haye.

Did you read what I posted at the beginning of the thread? Haye DID want this. The entire situation was already being worked out, that way everything was taken care of. What do you mean "let him sort out negotiations with Vitali himself"... that is what they are doing. Of course, if Wlad knocks Haye out, I doubt we see Vitali vs Haye. However, they were working out a contract that gave Haye not only a shot at Wlad... but a shot at Vitali as well if he were to beat Wlad again in the rematch. What Heavyweight on earth wouldn't jump at that opportunity? Good lord... why are people acting like this is a bad thing? Haye LOVES the idea, and said that is what he wants. Why are people on this board acting like it's bull****? It really blows my damn mind.

    Good ****ing god.

HAYE DOES NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE REMATCH CLAUSE!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR ****ING HEADS!!! THAT IS NOT WHERE NEGOTIATIONS FELL APART!

And Haye said that he would agree such a contract. So, do you have any timescale for when K2 are going to get back to negotiating a contract in that form as opposed to one where they have open options on Haye for two fights after he beats Wlad?

Haye and Booth said that they bring more than Arreola? Ok then... I guess it's true.:rofl Haye and Booth haven't even been able to secure a venue.:-(

What you don't understand is this. Haye may bring more to the table than Arreola... BUT HAYE ALSO WANTS TO KEEP EVERYTHING THAT HE BRINGS TO THE TABLE FOR HIMSELF. So, exactly how does that make him a more attractive challenger? It really doesn't make sense to get paid more money because you say that you bring more to the table... then also get to keep everything that you bring to the table.

Jesus christ its like talking to a brick wall.

Wlad vs Haye is THE fight at Heavyweight right now. I honestly believe that it will be Wlad's career defining fight aswell as a lot of other posters. Its the fight most people want to see, not just in the HW division but in all of boxing.

Haye brings far more to the table than anyone else at HW, in terms of viewers, in terms of revenue, in terms of marketability. Hell, this isnt just a fight the casual fans want to see this is a fight for the boxing fan !

Wlad - His own purse, Haye's purse, World TV Rights

    Haye - UK rights

Aswell as a stupid double rematch clause.

How is that being unreasonable ?

Your acting like Haye wasnt a champion or something, he was the undisputed champion of his own division, something that Wlad has NEVER been.

Obviously you have NO clue how Championship fights are made. Why on earth would the challenger get a rematch? The reason why the Champion gets a rematch is because he is using his voluntary defense to give the challenger WHO IS NOT A MANDATORY OPPONENT a shot at his title. Do you think that Hasim Rahman had a rematch clause intact in case he lost to Lewis in their first fight? Did Lewis? Hell yeah.

Even Taylor/Pavlik 1 had a rematch clause and it was a mandatory.

And you are not going to change the mind of one Haye fan. Period.
