    He loses to Bradley.
He loses to Alexander (who I don't think much of).
    He loses Maidana.
He loses to Khan (who he could have fought for "big" money but chose not to and for good reason, and who again I don't think that much of)
    He loses to Clottey.
    He loses to Margarito.
    He loses to Cotto.
    He loses to Berto
    He loses to Mosley.
And yes he loses to Manny in a blow out.

......**** he loses to Jones at welterweight who just won that controversial decision over the Mexican who's name escapes me.

Now that doesn't mean it is any worse of a fight than Mosley. Shane might get blown out. I don't believe that will happen but it could at this stage of Shane's career against such an offensive fighter.

And like someone said their is a history of lightweight champs facing the welterweight champ. But to say it is a better fight ON ANY LEVEL accept story line is complete NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!

At this point in JMM's career he and Pac only have history in common between them, just like in Shane's career he and Pac only have HOF legacy's in common between them.

Neither Shane or JMM have anything of SUBSTANCE in common with Pac at this point in their careers.

The best fights for Pac are the following in order, and we all know who they are:

Mayweather (a fight for the undisputed P4P #1 designation)

Martinez (realistically not a winnable fight, but a true shot at the middleweight championship)

Berto (the last "VIABLE" welterweight title holder/contender left for Pac to fight not name Mayweather)

Winner of Bradley-Alexander (possibly the best jr welter facing the best welter, but to be fair Khan has to be considered though I don't think much of him)

Khan (If he turns out to be the best jr welter)

Maidana (If he turns out to be the best jr welter via a rematch with Khan and a fight with the Bradley-Alexander winner)

Both Shane (a mere belt holder) and JMM (lightweight champ who would be the underdog against every fighter listed above including Mosley are last on this list.

But to be fair you could put JMM ahead of Shane based on the fact he is the true lightweight champ and not a belt holder.

BUT THE FACT REMAINS HE GETS BLOWN OUT AT THIS POINT IN HIS AND PAC'S CAREER WHETHER AT JR WELTER OR WELTER.......period!

I totally agree with your top4

    After that, noone cares.

I don't think Marquez loses to Alexander, but it would be close.

Rewatch the Alexander-Kotelnik fight, and tell me JMM won't be able to do what Kotelnik did, and more.

    He loses Maidana?
Wonder how much that will cost him to replace him.

He's not suited to the weight, at all. Too old and too small.

disagree with the junior welter shouts. agree hes not competitive at 147 but come on 140 id say hes the best.
He'd stop khan, hed out point bradley, he'd stop alexander and he'd blowout maidana in under 4.

Really you believe that? JMM won't even take on Soto who is his best comp at 135lb.

JMM struggled with Juan Diaz and Katsidis do you really believe any of the jr welters I mentioned struggle with Diaz or Katsidis.

To be quite frank, a guy like "Ortiz" who is not a top jr welter would destroy both Diaz or Katsidis. Yes styles do play a part, but size, age and being comfortable at the weight is really the telling factors playing against JMM.

Yup, he looked awful at WW and not because Mayweather made him look awful. His body physically looked bloated and like there was too much weight on his frame. He was slower and lacked snap on his punches. JMM is too small for WW and probably even for JWW.

hmmm let me look at your list again

Bradley - 50/50 could truly go either way
Alexander - beats alexander the way kotelnik did, but more convincing
Maidana - makes maidana look rubbish IMO
Khan - knocks khan clean out
Clottey - clottey is a middleweight now right? so marquez schools a drained clottey
Margarito - schools margo, the guy is shot to ****.
Cotto - don't see marquez havng any shot vs cotto.
Berto - competitive but berto would surely be the favourite.
Mosley - beats mosley in a clear decision as long as he doesn't get too brave
And yes he loses to Manny in a blow out, but then again aside from floyd who wouldn't from 147 down?

So basically Pac's best options from 147 down are floyd, berto, shane, marquez and winner of the bradley/alexander/khan circle. ruling floyd out because he is probably retiring IMO and ruling out bradley/alexander/khan any time soon, that leaves a bunch of guys he would be a HUGE favourite over, with only berto and marquez who pose any stylistic difficulties.

So to find challenging fights, he needs to defend his WBC belt vs the likes of cotto, cintron, angulo, dzindzuruk, mora, rhodes. at 154 we can talk about competitive fights with pacman. at 147 and below if the name aint floyd, pacman wins and he wins big.

I really believe he would. sahme we will never find out but i just think he is the best counter puncher at 140lbs and he gives major problems to anyone. the only one im doubting after second thoughts is maybe bradley.

    He loses in UD/SD to

    Clottey
    Alexander
    Bradley

    He loses via TKO to

    Margo
    Cotto
    Khan
    Maidana

If PBf can KD him, the four guys up there will put him down and keep him down.

JMM is VERY vulnerable to a lot of flash KDs.

Do you know why we won't find out? Because neither Nacho nor GBP believes he can beat those jr welters.

You see if he could beat those jr welters JMM could use his "NAME RECOGNITION" and "HOF LEGACY" to dictate terms of all of those fights at jr welter. He could make good money fighting them and beating them.

Even if he never fought Pac again he would still have the draw as his claim to fame. There is one problem though THEY KNOW HE CAN'T BEAT THEM therefore they need a big fight to cash out on.
