    Good order, I didn't mentioned Salinas and Santana both good solid prospects.

    What they did back in the amateurs doesn't count anymore neither 2 1/2 minutes of sharpness that is a loser excuse, he was not in shape and paid for it, if we are rating these Cubans for their accomplishments in the pro. then Gamboa and Hernandez should b rank 1 and 2, then Rigondeaux and the rest, IMO.

    Why are you saying that Solis was not in shape? He lost about 20 pounds and looked in great physical shape to me. I think he got injured cause he was overweight for such a long time and his knee couldn't take it.

    I don't agree with you, the amateur experience does count. That's where you learn your fundamentals and your technique. You can't say that if a boxer has 300 amateur bouts that he doesn't have anything. Almost all of the great pros have had a good amateur career so the amateur experience does count!

    No, Solis is better skilled and is a much better boxer allround. Believe it or not, Lara is a very one dimensional boxer. Yes he is very good ( at what he does ) but Solis is better in every department. The only thing that Lara has over Solis is age and dedication. ;)

    Bon Bon I agreed that the amateur experience counts, I never say it didn't, but once they jump to the pro the amateur accomplishments mean nothing, that is why I ranked Gamboa and Hernandez higher than Solis and Rigondeaux, read again and you will not find anything against experience

    Good post. Abril might also deserve inclusion. His ceiling is not as high as most of these, and has some losses, but has an interim belt and his losses are not bad. I'd put Franco lower, maybe replace him with Despaigne. Franco is a fighter, and seems to have a solid chin, but I think needs a different style with his lack of power. I also don't think he would have done any better against Russell Jr than Despaigne did against Sillakh.
