Let's remind ourselves that David Diaz is nothing special.

Hatton did get hurt by Lazcano's left hook.....so it does give Pac a glimmer of hope......

....but imo of seeing Pac vs Diaz, I noted that up till the smashing KO, that came just as well from accumulation as well as it hitting Diaz right on the point of the chin when Diaz had no idea where that shot was coming from......I noted that Pac's shots were'nt moving Diaz.

Diaz is a strong rugged lightweight, and I do believe he can take a good shot, but the amount of punches that Pac landed on Diaz, imo had that fight been at 130 or below, those shots would have moved Diaz from the beggining, and he would have gotten Diaz out of there much earlier.

Hatton is so much faster than Diaz, has more skill, and punches alot harder.

I'll be honest, I'm fairly certain that Pac's shots will not faze Hatton, and that Hatton will just walk right through Pac.
I really dont see Pac going past the halfway point of the fight with Hatton.
I rarely say it in this forum unless I'm fairly certain that I'm right....
.....but I see Hatton just brutalizing Pac.....I dont thing it will be a fair contest, Hatton is just too big for Pac who imo is'nt really true lightweight, much less Junior welterweight!

Just remember this.....Hatton is going to actually step into the ring with Pac with a significant weight advantage. Possibly in the range of 8-10 pounds.....
I dont believe Pac has ever faced someone who smothers like Hatton and is a murderous body puncher on the inside to boot.

i see, i also believe pac has a chance to KO hatton but pac ain't no floyd though. A lot of posters was amazed though by that last performance with diaz that they went to the conclusion that pac would be too fast for hatton. But i don't just know and i can't yet give an accurate prediction:D

I too was dissapointed that MAB who is capable of adjusting, just did'nt have the heart to do so.
But the reality is that he was brutalized in every way by Pac when they first fought.
Those kinds of beatdowns you just dont forget. They just stay with you.
......but yeah, with MAB actually having some sucess for the brief moments he took it to Pac, I was dissapointed that in the face of losing, he chose it to be a victory too just last the distance.
For a fighter of MAB's stature, it would have been more honorable to like Morales, just go out on his shield.

My opinion however is that Pac beats MAB everytime and at any point in their careers.
Unlike JMM and Erik Morales, MAB just does'nt have a good enough right hand to counter Pac's left.....thus Pac is just going to let his left fly with thunder, without much respect for incoming.

That right hand is key to make a southpaw, maniacal, fast punching powerpuncher like Pac to respect you.
MAB's right hand just isnt good enough to gain Pac's respect.

hatton will probably outweigh pac by about 5-7 pounds. pac will come in at 148 while hatton will probably go @153-154. it is actually in hatton's interest that he come in lighter than his usual fighting weight so he can keep up with pac's speed and movement.

that's probably his regular walking weight when he not bingeing on beer and pork rinds. 160+ is too much weight to go into a fight when you're a lightwelter. i think he actually fought in the mid-150s vs. mayweather @147.

There's a reason why both Pac and Roach are calling out Hatton. He comes in linearly with little head movement. And this is the only way he knows how to fight. It's going to be target practice for Pac. Even if Hatton had a legit 10lb size advantage there is nothing to indicate that he will walk through it unfazed. Pac throws his shots with speed and leverage. Those shots are compounded when it's a come-forward target as oppose to a continually retreating one such as JMM. Pac has the stylistic advantage in this matchup. If Hatton can score a KO in this one, it would be one of those one-shot variety Pac doesn't see.

Otherwise Pac has a great chance of yet rewriting the history books., That's why they're clamoring for this fight because Pac already shown he can drop a welterweight in Diaz with a similar come-forward aggressive style. I wouldn't be surprised if this happens in November.

hattons chance is to tie pac in a clinch then continously hit him in the face or in the body. those maybe illegal but if taken in accumulation it could take a toll on pac's strength and speed. i still have pac as winner though same way as paoloP4P explained
