I predicted GGG would whoop Brook easy. That's not what I saw though. 2-2 going into the 5th. GGG did put the hurting on in the 5th like he had enough of trying to box Brook.

What could possibly make anyone believe that fight had any potential what so ever to be a classic???
G had zero respect for Brook and was simply pounding him in a very one sided fight. Brook and a couple (total) moments that looked great but only proved why G had zero respect for Brook in ring.

They can bs all they want and say they stopped it because the injury, they stopped it because Brook was getting destroyed and could NOT even defend himself. He acted like he wanted to fight on, but he wasn't sure where he was while getting beaten from one end of the ring all the way arounder.

Round 5 Brook got beaten around the entire ring, tough for staying on his feet but if he REALLY wanted to continue and WAS able to he would had used enough defense to make sure it looks like he's still aware and willing

GGG took advantage of the smaller fighter like he was suppose to do. This win really does nothing for him. Now if this was Ward that he did this to, than I would give this dude nothing but respect. Unfortunately I still rate him as high as I did before the fight. He has yet to prove against a good opposition that he can impose his will to win in the face of adversity. GGG reminds me of Mike Tyson. Tyson most of his career walked into the ring against fighters who were not on his level or good fighters pass there prime. He was always intended to win. Even against Buster Douglas. The two fighters Tyson fought who could/would/was a threat to him, was Holyfield and Lewis, and Tyson failed both task. This is what I see in GGG future. When he finally get in the ring with a good or great fighter that's his size or bigger, this is when the world will see what GGG is really made of.

the real shame was this "fight" being made in the first place...it was a joke and a sham from the start...we all knew it...but with loeffler, sanchez and company we are all used to it by now...ggg is a joke and toxic to boxing

ducked canelo at 155 and ward at 168 for dom wade and kell brook...awesome!

He ducked no one.canelo ducked him and gave up his belt.he will fight ward a little later.if ggg passes his next 3 tests against jacobs, saunders, and canelo all by k.o. or tko then he can go to 168 lbs and k.o. degale, after that he can k.o.ward who is made to order for him.ward has less speed than earlier in his career, and no power to keep ggg off of him, after that kovolev and super man stevenson.l must say ggg has a very dangerous assignment in jacobs.

The saddest thing about this fight is Brook suffering the injury, imagine 12 rounds of this type of fight, could GGG have gone 12 rounds like this? he is a machien but he never fought a fighter like Brook and Brook clearly wasn't going to go down, what effect would that have taken on GGG psychologically seeing this warrior stand there absorbing everything? great fight but lady luck ruled out the greatest toe to toe battle of all time.

l think brook was going down in round 5 regardless of the eye injury, but what a exciting fight it was.those sledgehammer jabs were bound to break that eye socket though.

Its pretty clear for all to see that GGG wasnt there to box. He stood and took punches that he could of made brook miss. It was his drama show that he promised. He got hit and now everyone thinks GGG cant box lol. Well it cerainly has seen a few challenges come his way, so setting the bait has worked for him nicely this time around :)

Golovkin has a great defense whenever he wants to use it, but once he felt Brook's power, he knew he did not need a good defense and went for the kill. Brook would have been knocked out if the fight had continued and his career would have ended...............

The demographic would say anything to discredit GGG. If Brook would've fought Canelo @ 155 lbs instead of GGG , you would've seen Canelo vs Matthew Hatton fight copy.

Every GGG's opponent who gets beaten up by him is a bum - the demographic common sense.

Brook acquitted himself well. He showed good all-round skills and an iron chin. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.
