I think this is the right time for Canelo. Yeah he may be green but if the fight is anywhere close, he has the inexperience excuse. If he waited any longer, he would not get much credit for beating Floyd as he closes in on 40. If Canelo should somehow win, it's going to get crazy on any boxing forum. This is win-win for Canelo any way it turns unless he gets completely schooled like Rigo did to Donaire.

It's a win-win for SHO. I don't think it hurts Floyd much if he loses a close one. The rematch will be bigger $. I have to believe though, Floyd wins this 8-4 or 7-5 UD.

screw the polls...most of them are hard-up mexicans and haters desperate for a boxing hero.

Trout had Canelito running and sucking air like a 4 barrel holly with a high-rise manifold...

Who said he was too small? Martinez offered to take "only" 20% of the purse... That's probably the main reason why a fight with him was never seriously considered, but he is naturally quite a bit bigger than Cotto or Canelo. Also, I'm sure Floyd knows this game... He'd get zero credit for a win over Sergio at 154 ala Ward beating Dawson at 168. It wouldn't matter how comfortably he was able to shed the weight... If Floyd beat him he'd be drained.

Sergio got his ass whipped badly in his last fight.

LOTS of Floyd's victims have handspeed and footmovement.

Let's see Sergio move-up a division and take a Champion's belt like Floyd has on several occasions.:deal

His hand and foot speed ain't good enough to do that....now is it??:rasta

Cotto didn't fight face first against Trout. He fought a good fight but he underestimated Trout and wasn't able to turn it around in the later rounds. Plus Trout brought his A game and wasn't under any restrictions put on him by outside forces like in the Canelo fight. That fight was lost before he got in the ring and he knew it. That wasn't the same Trout that fought Cotto. Canelo did his little slipping and sliding but that **** didn't impress me because I know Trout wasn't going all out to hit him. The knockdown happened in an exchange of punches. It wasn't calculated. He was throwing round houses and leaping in off balance with that one two. The only punch that I liked of his , was that uppercut. It's decent and calculated shot. I said it once and I will say it again, Cotto is a wiser and better fighter than Canelo. As for betting, I don't bet on nobody but myself and I don't box.

This fight will not be close. Mayweather is gonna school his ass and send on about his business to them real 154 lbers like Lara and Molina. Floyd's age is no barrier. He is prime and ready to break some Canelo lovers heart.
