If Lopez beats Ortiz on Sat...
IMO that would easily cancel the Sept 15th show.
(The back-up October date would then be used by Golden Boy)

Alvarez would then be matched with whoever makes GB a PPV or brings a Belt!

    Kirkland

Any of the other 154 champs.

I think we are done seeing Canelo on regular HBO.

    Lara need not apply.
(Just hope Lara don't live his life waiting on Alvarez... He's gonna be a waiting MF'er)

Lopez is not upsetting Victor, but if he does Im sure GBP would cancel 9/15 if not I doubt it will be against Lara.

Oscar will come out of retirement to personally fight Saul himself before he puts him in with Lara.

I heard freitas is calling canelo... Everything they need is a freak show so, that could be the answer.

Unfortunately, I really can't see it.

As I've said before, this puts Golden Boy in a poor negotiating position when trying to convince another promoter to give Lara an opportunity. GBP aren't willing to put him in there with one of their own popular fighters, so how can they expect Top Rank/DiBella/whoever to take that risk?

I think Kirkland is more likely and, now that Eastcoast mentions it, I wouldn't be surprised to see Berto get the call.

I hope they do something with Lara though, he's far too good to sit on the shelf.

Who is Lara Facing next? The guy that Berto KTFO in one round? yeah good job there. After his done taking out that BUM like Hears.. people are gonna say Lara is a beast and all of 147-160 fears him? LMAO yeah they fear him not the reward they get from facing him? Because we all know Martinez/ Canelo/Mayweather/ Pacquiao/Ortiz fear him so much... he just doesn't bring **** to the table in this business.

Lara is 0-1-1 at his highest Level demonstrating that with Williams and Molina, the power cubans speak of was non existant even though on williams he hit him with HUGE shots that didn't even faze williams, and that was a **** williams who came off a devastating TKO and hasn't looked the same... Lara still couldn't take him out. With them the stamina issues have been apparant, I ask? where is this beast they speak of... oh yeah he TKO hearns he must be a beast then, with so much power all of 147-160 fears him.

Also if Lopez wins... then they will go down to their next list of sellable fights to compete with Martinez JCC

    It would be

    -Trout
    -K9
    -Cotto
    -Lara

in that Order. Lara is a ShoBox fighter unworthy of a PPV event of this magnitude against the cash cow.

Hey Cubanos tell Lara to face DROD, Molina, Ishida... Guys coming off losses with a name that would elevate him more into the mix.. not a WW Berto KTFO in one ROUND LMAO!

****ing PEOPLE crying that all the best 147-160 pounders ignore Lara as high risk Low Reward, but LARA gets a pass for Ignoring Molina as high risk low reward to himself.. we all Know Once {Carlos "Lara's king" Molina} steps in and beats Lara again it would be career suicide and his Money check with the big names is out of the question. Basically would be 0-1-2 at his highest level and we all know his promoters scared of that, because he has a cuban manager but is co promoted by GBP.

I would say Berto. He fits in line with Canelo's smaller opponents (Hatton, Mosley, Cintron, even Ortiz). No way does Lara get a shot right now, not with Canelo set to become the next cash cow of boxing.
