I don't know about anyone else but yeah its fair and legal no matter who does it. I've held that opinion since I was eight and first read about dempsey's (my grandads fav) quote after the Sharkey fight. For the life of me I don't know why people make such a big deal about this Floyd fight, Dempsey paved the way and cuz of him they warn fighters to protect themselves at all times.

If the situation was flipped, i would say fair play to ortiz. Ref had called fight, had already hugged (and kissed) once and always keep your guard up

I also agree with you guys it was fair, but would a die hard Floyd fan agree if the tables where turned?

Yes. I would say Floyd is stupid just like I said Ortiz is stupid.

I am a huge Floyd fan, and I honestly believe if the roles were reversed I would not complain about Ortiz's win.

If it was under the same circumstances it would be fair. The glove touching had been done and he headbutted him to start it off.

If Ortiz had done it, he would of been disqualified.

In the same breath, Mayweather isn't stupid enough to keep his hands down.

You are trying to make a question of logic, a question of emotion. no matter what universe or alternate time line you live in, in the rules of boxing it was legal.

I'm a Floyd fan and always saw it as a legal shot. I also know that it was a cheapshot.

I can't feel bad for Ortiz because he made some righteous speech the day before the fight talking about how Floyd should keep the fight clean and good. He then hypocritically does one of the dirtiest headbutts we seen in awhile.

It was a good day. Mayweather proved he has dirty fighting skills.
