Pointless thread. No one will admit they would've think different. Since you cannot go back and time and prove them wrong.

But here's how I think would have happened.

Ortiz would have been disqualified and *****s would have been up in arms over the whole situation and say Floyd is a victim of the dirtiest tactics pulled in boxing.

well maybe the casual fans would say that but fans of the sport have to know what Dempsey did. And if the precedent was set that's pretty much the law in a common law country like the USA.

 

Ortiz wouldn't have been DQ'd. The punches that ended the fight would have been well within the boundaries established by the rule book, and would have been legal regardless of who threw them.

If anything, it would have made the fight seem even more surreal, though. After all, there's less precedent for Mayweather losing his composure like, while Ortiz had already showed a tendency to suffer lapses of focus at points in his career.

But honestly, I wouldn't have complained one bit about whether the stoppage was legal had the roles been reversed.

Mayweather has an iron chin so he wouldn't have gone down, while ortiz has a glass jaw, so in all likelyhood he wouldn't have gone down.

 

This doesn't make any since. There was nothing immoral or unfair about knocking a guy out during the round of a boxing match. There was only one person that night who did anything illegal, immoral, or unfair and that was victor ortiz. These type of posts just go to show you how much mayweather is hated. Ortiz committs one of the most dirty fouls ever, Mayweather knocks out completely legally, and yet people are trying to make mMayweather the bad guy.

Almost all actual pro fighters understand this and think Mayweather did nothing wrong. Only ***s, and tards think there was anything wrong with Mayweather for punching a guy in he middle of the round of a damn fight.

Yes id be upset that Floyd lost but if he was dumb enough to drop his hands and get slapped out then so be it. **** happens. If Floyd headbutt Ortiz then got ko'd for keeping his hands down? Id laugh.

Keep in mind tho Floyd aint a ***** like Victor and would have stood back up on his two feet.
