I genuinely don't think the fight will happen. There was no reason NOT to have an immediate rematch.

Ok, the date has been bandied about, but that's all. No contracts have been signed or venue booked.

And let's face it, if the rematch was worth "marinating", why are we in the dark about it when it's only 10-12 weeks away?

Wilder won't face Fury, Whyte or AJ, Del is facing Usyk, Ruiz will have time off, Sasha will possibly retire.

So, who does that leave if the Fury rematch doesn't go ahead?

I truly think within the next 12 months that someone else will hold that WBC title. Wilder can't hide forever...

    The rhetoric would be unreal.

Kownackers the killer, the baddest man, with the fastest hands, the Polish poleaxe, the boxing master, *insert PBC BS here*, the only real man who wants the Wilder fight, getting paid millions upon millions, number 3 in the division, etc bull-crap

If Wilder ducks a fit Fury then I don't know how his fans can defend him any longer :-(
But they will, and Adam Kownackers will be the next boogeyman

    It's a very likely scenario
