Taylor won both fights, i find it imposible to score the fights in the favour of Hopkins, he just didn't do enough.

Hopkins won the first one clearly and the second one was much closer and could have been scored a draw.

And i think a lot of people can see your argument. There were a lot of rounds where Hopkins didn't do anything. But still, JT did not land one clean right hand in 24 rounds while Hopkins caught him dozens of times with a lead right hand. But too bad boxing is scored on a round system.

B Hop won both but I wouldn't say he was robbed. That's a bit much.

I would like to watch both of the fights again to be more sure of myself but having watched both fights only one time I felt like Hopkins lost the first and won the second. Of course both fights could have easily been scored a draw.

    Taylor won both.

I dont see how Hopkins could win both fights when he didnt even start to fight in the 8th-9th rounds in both fights.

Taylor won the first fight, 115-113. Taylor took all of the first eight rounds with the exception of the fifth, and Hopkins swept the final four. The thing worth noting is, the rounds Taylor won were all extremely close, whereas, the rounds Hopkins won were obvious Hopkins rounds. Still, in the end, Hopkins started too little too late, and Taylor eeked out a decision.

Hopkins won the rematch 116-112. They split the first six rounds and over the final six, Hopkins won every round except the eleventh. Once again, the rounds during the second half of the fight were much easier to score, including the one round that Taylor snuck out in the 11th.

Overall, Hopkins clearly proved he was the better fighter even though his effort in the first fight was lackluster.

At this time, it was clear that Hopkins was no longer suited for 160 pounds....or at least that became clear in his next bout against Tarver when Manny Steward duly noted that Hopkins had outgrown 160 long ago.
