I'd favour Mayweather based on styles. De La Hoya boxed circles around Tito and I think Mayweather could do the same based on what I have seen of him at welter so far.

But to be honest Mayweather's opposition level at welter has been a level below anything like Tito. If Mosley beats him or gives him a tough time then you would have to favour Trinidad. We will have a more clear view of Mayweathers standing at welter once he has fought Mosley.

yes but trinidad is just too one dimensional. he can't deal with fighters with speed like dlh, counter punchers and good defensive fighters with solid boxing skills like wright or hopkins. and mayweather is faster than dlh with better boxing skill that hopkins and wright. plus throw in some showboating like roy jones, and mayweather will give trinidad fits. mayweather won't ko him but he will be in for a long night of humiliation.

Exactly my own sentiments. This li'l ****er has picked soft opposition precisely to look like a master boxer with a perfect record. ****in' fraud.

YEah Darryl, we know how u don't hate puertorican boxers!!! Anyways, I guess Hopkins, W.Wright and Roy Jones are considered remotely good boxers since Tito only lost to those three! Unless, of course u pull your head out of "Walk with me's" ass and try to elaborate on your pointless argument!!

You'd have to be so much into Floyd if you think that Hopkins' size and physical attributes didn't figure as one of the tools that he used to outbox Tito, and that Floyd would be able to do the same based solely on boxing skills. Heck, Floyd couldn't do a Winky on Tito as well. Floyd would need power to deter Felix, something he hasn't shown at welter even against a blownup featherweight whom he couldn't knock out if his life depended on it.

Yup and Tito will stalk in one dimensional fashion as he done many times before, miss and take punches from any angle Mayweather decides to throw from. But don't worry!, even in defeat he would look to have more balls in the trailer park communities of this planet and that includes the community you breed in.

That is why a prime Dela Hoya, who had a great chin, just used his bicycle to avoid Trinidad's power and lost a decision.

You think Mayweather would be able to evade all Trinidad's power shots and just potshot for 12 rounds? Trinidad was a different beast at 147 compared to when he moved up, IMO.

Mayweather doesnt have the punch to keep Trinidad off of him nor the workrate. He cant just work off the jab either because he is facing the bigger man. Think of the problems De la Hoya caused him when he threw! Trinidad does that all night and earns himself a UD

Considering boths strengths and weaknesses I favor Mayweather in closely contested fight. Trinidad is maybe 3 inches taller but doesnt fight tall, puts alot of weight on his front foot and would be a sucker for the straight jab and counter right hand. His power would make Mayweather weary but Trinidad could be farely predictable on the highest level. Mayweather would get stunned and maybe even dropped, but he has the skills defense and counterpunching to eke out a close UD OR SD

i just think he's tailor made pbf. tito's ring iq really isn't that high, and he only knows how to come forward. that plays right into pbf's hands. i always wondered why tito didn't get a trainer who can improve his game. it seemed like his dad was hell bent on just working in tito's punching power. trinidad would have thrived with a manny steward, or tommy brooks, ronnie shields, etc.
