Floyd would have a tough time keeping Tito off of him, but Floyd would have chances to land good power shots as Trinidad moved forward somewhat one dimensionally. Tough fight to call, Trinidad was a very very strong welterweight.

Trinidad was a great fighter but Mayweather is a horrible opponent for him. Crucially, Floyd would have no problem taking the left hook away and that would mean Tito loses a wide UD.

What would have Trinidad's advantages here?

On reflection perhaps I misunderstood what you meant.

maybe i should have worded it better. i wasn't trying to take credit from tito cause all those fights where he was put down, he got up to dominate.
he was a great fighter but im not sure how that matchup goes. good fight non-the-less

Further proof Floyd fans are the dumbest ****s here.... and it's not just because they pick Floyd, it's the reasoning they use.

Mayweather boxes his ears off. If Oscar was able to outbox Tito(b4 going into retreat mode) then Floyd is capable.

Don't expect anything close to this in detail or analysis from the Floyd fanboys...

I think it is fair to say that Dela Hoya rode his bicycle there because he was fully wary of Trinidad's vaunted power, and this is Dela Hoya whose chin is comparably tougher than Mayweather, Jr.

I do not believe the potshotting scheme of Mayweather would be effective, or would not look good, atleast in the eyes of the judges, against a marauding and aggressive, bigger guy in Trinidad.

Trinidad in a close decision for me.

everytime this has been brought up, and tito gets smoked everytime. are you hoping people will change their minds??? tito, plodding, flat foot, slow hands and chinny. Floyd would take tito to school and put tito on the short bus.

Read Kirk's post. Very valid points. Not to mention, can almost guarantee most Floyd fans here weren't even into boxing when tito was at 147. they would have been like.....9 or 10. :D
