Pac's straighter punches does the deed, me thinks.

For all the silly people who have only seen Hamed in the Barrera or Kelley fight, take the time to see him at his best --

As for this fight...well, it's hard to call. I can definitely see Pacman decking Hamed, and more than once due to those arrow-like straight shots that he loves to throw, especially the left hand. However, I honestly think that (out of the two) Hamed was a bigger puncher, especially in single shots. I rarely saw Hamed hurt either -- even when he was decked it was normally because of how his style left him off balance (swaying/leaning away from punches from the waist) and so even getting clipped from that position will definitely put you down. Hamed was never knocked out, and has never appeared to be even close to being hurt enough to be knocked out -- Pacman, on the other hand, has been on more than one occasion. There's also the fact that they're both fighting from the southpaw stance, which always throws things off balance a bit. In terms of speed, I give it to Pacman. Hamed was fast, but Pac is like lightning.

Overall, I see Hamed taking a KO win after having to get up from the deck numerous times. Like others have said, the clashing styles here will make this fight -- Pacman doesn't have the boxing finesse to do a 'Barrera' on Hamed, and I believe that without doing that, he loses.

it just happens that some newbie made a new thread like this and someone was kind enough to link this old thread to him.

maybe a few here who once voted for hamed will now change their mind after they saw that pacquiao can really box if he really needs to.

i doubt, haters will always be haters.. they'll say even if Pac changed his style, Hamed would still knock him out... but this one sure did eliminate one of their arguments:yep! Pac was not a one dimensional fighter ever since, he just didnt need to box before.

i'm not asking the haters. they have made up their mind on this one. i'm just asking the new opinions of those who picked hamed because of the argument that pacquiao fight's only one way and his style is tailor-made for hamed (an argument prior to pacquiao-barrera rematch).

my opinion is still hamed by stoppage. out 'boxing' a washed up version of barrera who was not interested in exchanging does nothing to change my mind. when he out boxes JMM then come back to me.

but this "washed up barrera" did have a close fight with marquez. i am guessing that when the rematch with marquez comes, he will employ the same tactic he used for the barrera rematch. a little boring pacquiao but a more wiser boxer.

if he tries to outbox JMM he will lose, period. i haven't seen JMM's match from the weekend but i did hear he was getting tagged a little too much, so PAC should employ his usual gameplan and ktfo marquez.

he can outbox marquez by moving in and out just like what he did with barrera. its a little harder because of marquez superb counter-punching skills but pacquiao could use his speed to his advantage.

yeah, pacquiao could try to blitz marquez again but i doubt he will do it this time. imo, he have matured tremendously and he can see now that he can win fights not only by brute force but also by ring generalship.

marquez was tagged by juarez but not as much as you are thinking. for every one punch that juarez connects, 2 or 3 punches were returned. it was really a one-sided beating.

Hamed by KO. While he had some deficiencies I see him catching and finishing Manny fairly early - and his power at that weight was just freakish.

Naz would starch him. Stylistically this matchup is all wrong for Pacquaio.
