Filipinos love to vote in online polls. Especially if a countryman is part of the poll.

It's a game and a hobby for many of them. They like to help their countryman win the poll and it's a fun little game and something to pass away the time while working.

We almost always win Ms.Photogenic in the Ms.Universe pageant. Why? Because it's been an online poll since about 10 years now. Filipinos are gonna vote for her even if they've never even seen her face, once. Add their votes to the regular online voters who really voted for her becasue she really is pretty, and those will add up.

Manny wins a lot of those ESPN/ESB/sports website polls because many Filipinos like to participate and it's an OK time waster when bored at work.

Do you think Manny is underrated on ESB?

I like him, but I'm not a big, big fan. I was from 1996-2003. Big fan back then.

I only consider posts debating about Pacquiao-Hamed. I dont really take polls seriously.

    And it's true,
many people here back in '06 would say that Hamed would stop Manny on his way in because of Naz's unnatural 1 punch power at 126.

come on guys, this is a stupid match up. It just cannot happen. Pac at prime is probably now at 135-140lbs.

Naz prime 126lbs. Are we talking a cache weight fight, at which weight will this be?

    Naz 5ft 3" reach 63" vs Pac 5ft 6.5" reach 67"

Im a huge naz fan but I cannot see him winning, this is a mismatch. It's like putting Juan Marquez in the ring with Margarito.

Not underrated, but some people will just click on his name on a poll because they like him. We love polls.

    Tip:

Only consider the posts when it comes to Pacquiao related threads, not the polls.
Polls are games. The discussion is the real stuff.

    Later, I'm gonna be late.

Bula is one of the massive followers of Pacquaio here in ESB. An old timer, and a neutral one, if there is any.

at 126, ill give the edge to hamed because of his one punch KO power and pacs still developing his defense and offense at that time. but at 130 or 135, pac takes it and i think by KO. For fantasy or hypothetical discussions, if you give the set of skills that Pac NOW possess back to when he was still at 126, he beats up hamed. speed, power, head and lateral movement, will be too much for hamed

Pac was too wild at 126, and by engaging Hamed would be playing right into his hands.

Naz by K.O after being dropped a couple of times himself in as ferocious a five-round fight as you'll ever see.

Two things; This is about Pac's prime at FW (when he beat Barrera) against Naz's (when he beat Tom Johnson) OR it's about Naz around the time he beat Manuel Calvo when Pac was about to start terrorising the division.

That Naz would probably lose to that Pac, as Naz was disinterested and wasn't boxing properly, was just looking for the big shot.

Also, Naz was small, but was built massive for FW, and rehularly sparred with MW's and HW's. He was tough as Hell, had an awesome chin (decked but never really hurt) and could knock any fighter at 126 out with any shot in his prime.

Of course, if Naz coems in A)overweight and flabby at 135/140 B) Wa7y below the limit fighting a 135-140 Pac, he loses, possibly by stoppage but Naz could take a shot, so who knows, probably more accumulation than flat out K.O, as Naz only ever really got dropped from being off balance, and could take a Helluva shot.

IMO, Hamed K.O.'s the bleached (First U.S. TV Exposure) version of Pacquaio.
But the Manny we all know now '05-'09, Would prob beat a prime Hamed by UD.
(Assuming they are in the same weight category where Hamed was at his best)

Scoring multiple KD's for both in the process.
I wish Hamed didn't grow tired of boxing, left us in the cold with alot of great fights.

im surprised its so close. i think manny has proven that he has not only become the better fighter- but also had the better career. hamed was unable to recover after his loss- manny has come back again and again. his mental strength is much much more than hameds- and his character. not to say hamed couldnt win- but - if they fought ten times- manny would take 7 of them i think.

manny has proved to be a brilliant fighter up to 135 and perhaps higher. hamed was a powerful 126- but got beaten soundly by barrera. u know what happened when they fought the common opponent.

so based on those factors- mental strength, career achievements, weight (p4p ability), and common opponent- i give pac the edge in all.

the Pacquiao that knocked out Ledwaba and Barrera would have knocked Hamed out.
