A prime Tyson would batter Vitali. The guy's chin would keep him in it but he'd eventually cave in around round 8 and look as bad as he did after the Lewis fight.

There's guys saying Tyson was beatable if you keep him behind the jab, because they think Buster Douglas beat a prime Tyson. His prime was very short, yes he was still prime physically but not mentally, he was in prime condition but he lost his attributes.

We never saw a prime Tyson lose, and never even saw him struggle to beat any one. How is Vitali going to keep Tyson at the end of his jab all night when he's significantly slower, and Tyson comes inside with that bob-and-weave style and gets inside on a guy who has no inside game.

    Tyson TKO 8.

Not to mention the fact that Buster Douglas could get almost as low as Tyson so he could land those uppercuts, and Douglas was smoother and slicker that night than Vitali could ever dream of being.

Would Douglas beat Vitali? Probably not, but it's about styles, and Douglas would have a very difficult time counterpunching Vitali, but Tyson wouldn't fight like that.

haha...DAMN THE NUMBERS ARE LOPSIDED...I GOT TYSON UD..I THINK VITALI COULD FIGHT IN SURVIVAL MODE AND HAS A GOOD CHIN SO NOT TO GET KNOCKED...BUT HE'D END UP LOSING ON THE SCOREBOARD IMO!

This is ridiculous. A young and motivated Tyson KO's Vitali in the late rounds. The only reason Vitali takes him deep is because he has a great beard. The Vitali supporters aren't making any analysis of the fight other than Tyson has lost to big men and that he's failed against other A class fighters. If your going to make a prediction at least compare styles or reasons why. Vitali's slow ackward punches would whiff all night and Tyson would rip that corn field of a mid-section.

A prime Vitali is a top 20ish HW boxer, but a prime Iron mike it a top 10.

Tyson's power and body work would be too much for Vitali. Vitali would loose the fight via KO if it was an all out war and they traded. vitali would have to stick to his jab and fight at range, Tyson would be able to fight his fight on the inside and Vitali range attack gameplan would not be effective.

The only way we can settle this once and for all would be for someone to build a time machine. Otherwise it's just "Who do you think would win and why?"

Just to be a jerk about it. :D

If I had to take my guess I think I'd go with Tyson because he'd be just the guy to get inside those long arms.

Very hard decision. But i have never seen VK hurt and he alo has decent stamina for a heavy weight, as illustrated by his recent fights at 37! Tyson didn't take out Tony Tucker, also a huge 6 5" fighter, and James Smith 6 4", shortly before his prime and i would fear that he wouldn't take out the harder hitting tough VK.
Also for such a big man VK holds his hands low and ready and is quite good on the inside as he showed against C. Sanders.

Although i'm a huge Tyson fan, Tyson in his prime didn't stop tucker or Green or smith so why the more durable harder hitting vK.

I think a prime Mike would have beaten Vittali. At his best he could cope with very big guys,Tucker and Ribalta are 2 examples. He found the going harder against bigger fighters but could still get the job done.At his peak Mike did not just count on big shots getting the win,he could box and his points win over Tucker is the best example i can give.Tyson beats Vittali on points,i dont agree with people saying it would be an easy win though, Vittali would give even a peak Tyson some real problems.
