Tyson needs to KTFO Vitali in the early rounds, or else he's in big big trouble. And I think Iron Mike KOes Vitali @ the 4th round (Prime vs Prime).

evry hard matchup seeing as vitali has an iron chin. he is much bigger and taller then mike and I'm sure that he would put one hell of a fight up. vitali still stood in there with Lewis throwing bombs at him. you can make the argument that tyson hits harder then Lewis, but at that they are close to power.
i would bet on vitali because I don't think mike would outpoint him he would have to knock vitali out in the early rounds in order to win but considering vitalis chin I can't see that happening. I'll say vitali split deciscion.

Vitali with a surgically repaired shoulder, spine and one knee was "prime" ? With combined 20 hours of surgery ?

    :patsch

If you want to see a guy who will get utterly annihilated, torn to shreds, and beheaded from a prime Mike Tyson in 3 rounds, look at your avatar. If you thought Max Schmeling was a boxing god for his ability to crush him when Max still was in shape, you better have a couple of tranquis ready to not get a stroke.

I'm here now...lbflb Iron Mike Tyson from the middle to the late 1980s was easily the greatest heavyweight that ever lived. both Klit bros are incredible fighters..

A slow, robotic guy, who moves backwards with a pathetic jab and no uppercut ??? Not to mention not enough firepower to earn Tysons respect. Vitali doesnt have one thing to beat Tyson. If he tries to survive he can last the distance. Otherwise Tyson TKO in the mid rounds. 2340% on that too. :deal

Why? By the time the early rounds would be over Vitali would have all of his rib's broken (if he's still standing) and a face that would look like it came from the Foreman grill (Foreman KO2 Vitali btw).
Vitali couldnt even put Chris Byrd in BIG BIG trouble...hell, he quit againts that feather-fisted fool. How is he gonna handle Tyson? Vitali would miss everytime while Tysons far superior foot speed and explosive approach would get him inside to land deadly combinations. Vitali wouldnt handle Tysons hand speed. :deal

    A granite chin against who?

His most famous fight is getting his face ripped open by an old past it Lennox Lewis.

Its hard to belive almost 25% of the people voting can have so little idea about boxing, prime Mike Tyson one of the most destructive fighters in history losing to this average heartless quitting robot? :yep

Prime Tyson, with his defence at his sharpest would get inside Vitali's pawing jab and destroy him, in slightly less convincing fashion than what he would do to Wlad.

Post 95 or so....that's another story - But prime for prime - Tyson all the way for me.

Why do people conveniently "forget" that Tyson had 4 decisions with no KO -BEFORE- losing to Buster, meaning, in his PRIME. How come that the guy who was never down in his pro career, who took the mother of all monsterous uppercuts from Lennox Lewis without being dazed, would be less able to survive than ****ing four guys like Green, Tillis, Smith and Tucker ? Tillis had already lost 8 times, and was KOed -THREE- times by Pinklon Thomas, Greg Page and Witherspoon (KO1 !!!) before fighting Tyson, and then went on to a decision, but Vitali Klitschko "surely" gets "annihilated" in just 3 rounds ? Dream on. Don't forget the Kleenex.

Tyson would use his head movement and top notch footwork, to get on the inside of Vitali. Where he would rip him apart from his head to his body. Prime Vitali couldn't finish Bryd, and gave up against him with one round to go. He got hit way too much against a fat, out of shape Sanders. Against a old, unmotivated and under prepared Lewis. Vitali looked beatable and was cut open quite easily.

A prime Tyson is better than Vitali overall.
