What about going on medical research to find a cure for your twisted memory ? Sanders connected ONCE big time, in ONE round. Didn't find him in the rest of the fight. Lewis SPORADICALLY landed a single big punch, and bust him open with HEAD COLLISIONS, courtesy of Vitalis wrong clinching (looking AT Lewis instead of away from him). If there is anything special about Vitali it's NOT getting hit most of the time. You can count the number of big punches his opponents land with one hand in each fight.

Prime Tyson wins this, but much less spectacular than people think, and not easy at all.

I remember Lewis landing some pretty big shots, and found himself getting better when he caught his second win after the 6th round. Vitali has shitty fighting style, his head don't go side to side to slip a punch. He's not Ali in the reflex department, and by backing straight up leaving your head out there he will be easy to land on for Mike. If much slower handed fighters like Sanders and Lewis could do it. You could bet Tyson would.

    Tyson would win.
    Too fast, too good.

It might not be by stoppage though. It could be well be a boring decision win.

Vitali's awkwardness & chin keep him on his feet, Tyson UD.

Tyson comes out like gangbusters early, but after he realizes his punches aren't having a ton of effect, he probably gets discouraged, gasses out a bit, and gets knocked out late.

I'm surprised Tyson is running away with this one.

Vitali does not have the foot speed or balance it would take . Tyson 3 or 4 rounds .

:rofl Vitali runs out of steam in fights he dominates, like he did against Sanders and Williams, and lets not forget about him running out of steam and quitting against Byrd.

Because those fighters were pretty savvy on the inside and outside just to survive. Tillis and Green were fights before Tyson even won the title. Tucker and Smith were experienced champions. Tyson still beat them one sided.
When you watch the Lewis fight, Vitali was clearly lost on the inside and couldnt tie Lewis up and stop him from beating him up at close range. That was Tysons game at his best. Get close and turn the fight into a brawl. It wouldnt be his typical dance from the outside, and the reason you see that so much now has less to do with how good Vitali is and more to do with how poor the opposition is, and the Lewis fight is proof of that. Its a caliber of fighter thats so far superior to what Vitali has faced including the old Lewis that took him apart after half a fight.

He didn't run out of steam against Byrd. I question his decision to quit in that fight, but he was injured. Pretty big difference.

Tyson generally had the most trouble with bigger fighters. While prime Tyson was obviously a huge puncher, I don't think he was a bigger puncher than some of the guys Vitali has faced and not been dented by. When Tyson wasn't dominating, he had a tendency to get discouraged. The longer time went on, the more mentally weak he became.

I don't think it's a gimme fight (I think Tyson would have had about a 40% chance of winning), but I would favor Vitali. As opposed to Wlad, who Tyson would knock out in a heartbeat.

Tyson was a shell of himself against a motivated, in shape Lewis. While Vitali WAS IN HIS PRIME losing to an out of shape 38 yr old. Only a nuthugger, would try to say Vitali was as shot as Tyson.

As for Louis he'd Beat Vitali's ass just like he did Carnera, Vitali is NOT that good.

Thoughts that Tyson will destroy Vitali or KO in 3rd round are pathetic.

Nobody, I mean nobody in the boxing history can destroy or easy KO so tough fighter like Vitali

Tyson was able to KO Vitali but it wouldn't be easy

If Corey Sanders wasn't 38 and out of shape he would've KO'd Vitali, he had him hurt in the 1st, but was tired after only 1 round. the sanders that fought Rahman would've beat him, again Vitali is very overrated here.
