So I suppose you're saying that Vitali is to do the running because he's so fit? It doesn't matter, Vitali has to hurt Peter and if it doesn't happen, either he's in for the taking or he will cross his fingers and wait for a gift from the judges.

Let me ask you this:

What decent fighter has Sam Peter KOed? We all know he has KOed several C and D class fighters. So, what decent fighter has Peter KOed? Up until about his 20th fight he was carefully matched with guys with Glass Jaws to hype Peter up. Peter's highlight reel KO is Jeremy Williams. Think about that for a second.

But let's assume that he'll make the fight, not get injured during it and not be too over the hill when and if he faces Peter. What does his record tell us is going to happen?

Vitali will win, and he'll win by knockout. Peter is nothing special, and he never was. He lost to Toney in their first fight. He got schooled by Wlad in their bout, even though he did drop Wlad. Vitali isn't Wlad, and he's never been seriously hurt even once during his boxing career, including against Lennox Lewis, Corrie Sanders, etc.

Peter is bringing nothing substantially more to the table than guys like Lewis, Sanders, Johnson, Hide, Williams, etc. brought. What's worse, Sam is likely to be in sh*t shape cardiovascularly, given his history. If he thought McCline lowered the boom, he hasn't seen anything yet.

Peter does have a chance to 'win' this bout. His best chance is for VK to be hurt ahead of time, or to be injured during the fight. Besides those two things, he better hope VK is just too old.

If the fight is settled between the ropes and VK has even a shred of his former self left, Peter will be mercilessly pummeled. And it shouldn't take long, either, because Peter will walk right into VK's attack. Peter is made for VK -- not too big (height/reach), not very fast, doesn't box on his toes, walks straight forward, has been shown to have a questionable chin and has horrible defense. He throws a solid shot, but so what? First of all, VK will be leaning back and avoiding some of the shots. Secondly, VK can take a good punch, something not always clear about his younger brother.

VK likes to brawl. I expect him to meet Peter head-on and do what he always does. While not a big one-punch KO artist, VK does throw heavy shots and he throws them consistently and with good accuracy. Peter may hold up for a bit (or he may not), but, eventually, I think he's going to be taking too many blows relative to the ones he's landing and will end up crumpled on the canvas or else in the ref's arms.

Vitali goes toe to toe with Peter,,, Peter is gonna KNOCK OUT vitali. Shaky chin??? PLEASE!!! He took wlad and oleg's best shots and never went down for christ sakes. In the McCline fight Peter had a ruptured eardrum

Question:

I don't care what punches he took in the past he was knocked all over the ring by McCline who has KOed NOBODY of note in the Heavyweight Division.

Vitali to win an ugly, bruising but comfortable UD. Peter to cry about bad refereeing or bad judging afterwards. Vitali will then make 1 defense of his title before retiring.

NO,, you have to look at the fighters and the punchers he has faced where he took massive shots and did not fall. To say OH I DON'T CARE ABOUT HOW PETER WALKED THRU WLADS AND OLEG'S SHOTS, all I care about is how peter got dropped by McCline when Peter had a ruptured eardrum

Do you know what Taurus Sykes' rank was when he fought Peter...???...and yes, I'm being serious. I wouldn't be suprised if he was in the top 25 at the time...

That's Peter's awesome KO percentage of top opponents. He's been knocked down more than he's knocked top 25 heavyweights out. That is a fact.
