This should not even be discussed, it was 8-4 Saunders at the very least and that's being generous to Eubank Jr.

Spot on, and even when eubank was trying to force the fight he was stepping through with his right foot and squaring up then getting turned and made look clumsy

I would tip more towards a Saunders win and he shows the better boxing skills on the night, but it was far from wide. You could also argue for a Eubank win or a draw. Eubank got his strategy wrong and should have gone after him earlier. BJ won the first few rounds and the middle ones could have gone either way. Eubank won some bigger rounds later on and rocked BJ a couple times later on in the fight.

Eubank was clearly the stronger of the two. He is also more likely to go on to win a world title. BJ is a quality domestic boxer but will fall short on the world stage. This fight was a little too early for Eubank and was clearly rough around the edges. He clearly has the ability and with more experience will get better.

Eubank gave the fight away. Saunders could have won that a lot easier by staying behind his jab all night. He took some big hits from Eubank and showed some good movement but like he said he needs a bit more work before going for a world title.

Eubank needs a fair bit of work, looked poor at times with his swinging punches. Needs to work a bit more during rounds to wear his opponent down. The first few rounds lost him that fight. He left himself with far too much to do.

It will be interesting to see where they both go.

Saunders definitely won that clash and I felt during the fight that Saunders had the fight in the bag. Good learning fight for both men.

I picked Eubank Jr and wanted him to win but there is just no case for him winning this fight. Congratulations to BJS, he has earned his world title shot the right way, beating his domestic and European rivals. We see guys like Crolla and Rose fight for world titles without cleaning up domestically.

Saunders won it clearly but barely.

    i had it 7-5 Saunders.

The most Eubank deserved was a draw

WHO CRIED FOR A ROBBERY ??? :patsch

I had 115-113 Eubank...close match...I can't understand why many people had a clear win for Saunders...in the second part of the fight he was hurt in many rounds by Eubank shots. Sure Jr. looked sluggish in many rounds but he has done most of the damage

Saunders all day, he clearly won more rounds and the rounds he did win were by bigger margins than some of the ones I believe Eubank Jr s****ed through on the scorecards!! At times Saunders really did make Jr look very average and ordinary, which I did not expect!!

Anyone who thought Eubank won can't score a fight and is an idiot.

    Behave.

Wasn't that close. You don't win rounds by lunging in and swinging wildly. Saunders was outboxing him on the outside and continuously outmaneuvering the crude Eubank. He had some success with a single shot: the uppercut. He landed a few power punches but that isn't enough to win rounds.
