It's overrated in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, he can take a very good punch, but iron? No. Iron to me is Glen Johnson.
A decent chin, but wayyyy overrated: dropped heavily by MW Taylor, buzzed badly by Dirrell, buzzed badly by Kessler. A 'granite' chin would not get shaken every other fight.
Good chin, it ain't Glen Johnson legendary level though. Being knocked down by Taylor shouldn't have happened. Froch looked pretty ****ing hurt too.
He looked pretty hurt against Kessler in the 8th or 9th from a right hand too if my memory is correct?
Yeah. As I said, it's good and it won't ever lose him a fight but it's nothing of legendary proportions.
Yeah, I agree. It's not iron. He got dropped by JT, was rocked a couple of times Dirrell, and Kessler even had his moments. But with that said, it's still a very good chin. It's saved him from one or two extra losses, that's for sure. Nothing like Vitali's or Margarito's, but it's still pretty solid. A guy like Roy Jones would have ****ed him up pretty badly, though.
He's a tough durable guy, but he can't fearlessly walk through the punches of any elite guy without getting hurt and forced to stop and reconsider.
*troll mode* Doesn't matter. Andrade had an iron chin too. *my old self mode* Real good chin. Incredible determination. What he gets hit with, fuels his fire. That said, Bute has a SMALL chance of hurting him real bad to the body.
Pascal i dont remember if he was stunned Taylor dropped him Dirrell wobbled him 2x Kessler wobbled him Johnson stunned him
