Tyson would at least go in the "Good Chin" Category, and I wouldn't argue at all against him being in the "Iron Chin" one. Just a fact that he could really take a beating.

It was Edison Miranda! Any fighter with decent skills would have finished Arthur. Furthermore, AA had plenty of help from the ref and ringside doctor. The fact that the fight was not stopped was a ****ing travesty. In addition, Arthur has faced exaclty ONE big puncher, and he got his face busted all to ****. His "Iron chin" is a myth, and no more.

Do you seriously think Pacquiao's chin is only on par with Hatton and Dawson, and is weaker than Guzman or Diaz?? Pac is a lock for the 2nd division IMO, his chin is excellent. When was the last time you seen him knocked down????

    Other than that, good post.

I don't really understand the thing with Pacquiao. There is always an underlying feeling like his chin is questionable :? How? He's been fighting good competition, and not really hurt or down. Bodyshots have been his problem in the past, hardly chin related, or even related to anything with the current version.

Most of those categories of fighter I agree with, however. And Abraham's chin certainly is forged from iron. The problem with your argument boo, is you only really serve to boost the theory with your claims. If his jaw was near hanging off, and the ref "should" have stopped it, yet he still took punches without being put down, doesn't that really suggest his chin is top tier more than anything else? Very strange argument.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

OMG, I missed this one. Litzau's chin is pure china, and Khan's is grade triple A china!

I thought I'd seen everything. Litzau and Khan have two of the worst chins among active fighters today. Khan has probably the worst chin I've seen in 30 years of following boxing!

And people doubt me when I say that there are those who, no matter WHAT the evidence, deny OBVIOUS glass jaws??? Amazing! :patsch

Lemme guess - Fraudley's got some solid whiskers too, right??? :rofl :rofl

We can't judge a chin based on fights that never happened. The fact that you're doing so suggests you have an axe to grind against Abraham.

The fact that Abraham continued on with a broken jaw is a credit to him. We don't know what would have happened if he had been fighting someone else. What you're doing here goes beyond merely speculating about his chin, it seems you have something against him.

I was laughing at that idiot so hard I could not even reply to his post.

Litzau has NEVER taken a good punch without either being out on his feet, stumbling like the town drunk or on his ass.

Khan can't even take a jab with out wobbling like a drunk yet his Glass Jaw is exaggerated?:rofl:patsch

Then he tries to defend Judah's Glass Jaw? :rofl:lol:

What planet does this guy live on?

    :lol::lol:

To me it shows what a joke Miranda is when he has 6 rounds to finish a guy with not only a broken jaw and bleeding from the mouth like a faucet yet he can't do it.

Abraham has a very good Chin to not get knocked down or out with a broken jaw.

Yep, certainly Miranda can be criticized here, it's just that Abraham should be likewise applauded.

I'll tell you, some of these people wouldn't know a glass jaw if a fighter fell face first right in front of 'em!

Goodness, how many times does Litzau have to get starched?? How many times does Khan have to get wobbled by JABS, before they recognize what is SO obvious it's staring them right in the face??

I absolutely guarantee that after Haye gets starched, these same folks will be saying his chin isn't that bad and that, "that punch woulda KOd anyone." :patsch

Abraham is unquestionably a tough customer. However, his survival in the Miranda fight had more to do with Miranda's lack of skill than it does with Arthur's chin. The fact that someone made Zuniga disappear from his rightful place as mandatory my very well indicate that Arthur's handlers know something we don't. Miranda is the only heavy hitter AA has faced, and since then his opponents have a collective KO ratio of 49.7%, and that incudes numbers for the Miranda rematch. Take away Miranda's 79% KO ratio, and things drop off rather quickly. The simple fact is there is no real basis for claiming Abraham has a Granite Chin. His handlers seem to have done a very good job of keeping him from fighting anyone who could check it for him.
