    Who are the best current inside fighters?

    You see a lot of outside fighters, with great speed/reach that make them effective from long range, but what makes one great in close quarters? Why can some fight there, but others cannot?

    the best part is that these guys are all defense specialists yet they're way better inside fighters than all these offensive minded fighters

    It's Andre Ward for me.

    Hopkins may still be better on the inside defensively, but his offensive abilitys have erroded.

    Ward defense is based on his inside game offense so in his case is kinda of normal. I'm not sure that he'll defend that well on the outside.
