good post, you know your guy :deal I have almost all of Holmes fights on DVD. But I would have to watch them all again to be able to rattle that off.
Whats happening here, I never even quoted McGrain, it was Bill. And I can't seperate into paragraphs either.
Any moderators around. I have problems. I can't even edit my posts, when i do no correction shows and quoting people is proving a nightmare.
Maybe Robbi and Bill are one and the same Just a joke.. I want to see if I can edit my post. Edit: Post edited ?? WE should see how well this worked..
Just typed a message on got this. "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters" I typed much more than one word. A few sentences more like. This message was posted under "quick reply"
This is a nightmare. Hopefully this gets sorted. Anyone who's reading this post under "quick reply" at the bottom of the thread rather than "post reply". I tried editing my last post but never worked. Also tried making a a thread entitled "TECHNICAL HELP NEEDED FROM A MODERATOR" but never worked.
The forum owners are probably doing some sort of update. A while back Janitor edited my post.. or so it said.. Probably just a temporary glitch, Robbi.

Jaws was a good little fighter but lets be honest, he'd fall over in a stiff breeze. His career till then consisted of a mere 13 fights compared to Holmes 29. Holmes was a streaking world champion, Ocasio a mere lamb to the slaughter. Narrow wins over the soft hitting Young sure didn't prepare him for the class of Holmes and Ocasio had lothing at all to dissuade him. I'm not knocking Larry's jab but this fight does nothing to prove it harder than Liston's for me. What decent full blown heavyweight did Holmes do this to any other time? Ocasio was better when he went to the cruiserweights, a much more fitting place. Enjoyed your posts in this thread regardless, as usual.
Fantastic post as per usual, mate. Agree with near enough everything except I'd rate Larry at #3 (with Lewis coming next). Ali, Liston, Louis and Lewis have the best chance against Holmes head-to-head, though It'd be difficult to give any of 'em much more than a 50/50 shot. Holmes matched up so formidibly to more or less every style. Ps: Hard lines about the rugby, John. My sisters best friend and her family who live over here are Aussies, originally from Brisbane so they're kinda my second team (after Ireland). It's certainly been a strange World Cup in terms of shocks. At least you can console yourself that you're not an Ireland fan like myself. What a terrible tournement we had. :dead I think the Springboks will triumph in the final, though it'll be a close'un. :good
Here's another great performance, up there with Larry's best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj6OJ71N-MM
Thanks mate, and fair call, only in the last 5 months has Lewis ascended to #3 over Larry for me. It's close. Yeah, Holmes would go well vs most every style i think, he has quite an adaptable game. I gotta say tho i'd add Frazier as very dangerous, Tyson too, and Foreman might be potentially tough. I'd prolly make Holmes a very slight fave over that trio. The thing is tho you can't make anyone much more than a slim fave over Holmes. Good to see ya supporting the Aussies! I think the Boks are definite faves but i'm sure not counting the poms out. Lightning might indeed strike twice. When it comes to the Final what happened prior matters little and England really do have nothing to lose. Should be interesting.
