    Thomas Tate got his life together (he had a drug problem) and moved up to SMW. At SMW he was very good. I always wanted to see Tate fight Charles Brewer back in those days.

    He gave Julian Jackson a tough fight, he beat Tyrone Trice, Joseph Kiwanuka x2 (stopped him in the rematch), lost a close fight to Silvio Branco, stopped Merqui Sosa, should have beat Sven Ottke, and stopped Omar Sheika.

    At the lowest point in his life he fought the best fighter in his career... the result was bad, LKOby2 to Roy Jones Jr.
