I'll start by saying I'm a fan of Usyk and have been following him since the London Olympics. He clearly has an amazing skill set and looks like he will be formidable in the CW division. What I'm not so convinced of is his ability to be very effective at HW. Usyk doesn't look like he has a build that will allow him to tack on mass and still operate in the same style. I don't think Usyk can do what Povetkin has done because of physical build and style. On top of this, while Usyk is a good puncher, he doesn't seem to have great power. I'd rate it a 6/10. He'd likely be a 4/10 on the HW scale. Realistically Usyk's fight night weight would be 220 or less. With his style I just don't see him beating a Klitschko or Lewis type, which is a problem. I think CW has the potential to blossom as a division (there are tons of great fights for Usyk right now), and there's no shame in dominating one division. Perhaps he can pick off a weaker champ at HW if the timing is right, but I'm skeptical about a permanent move.
I don't rate Wilder at all and think Usyk could beat him tomorrow. That being said, I don't think Wilder represents the best the division has to offer. Povetkin easily defeats Usyk for me. I would pick Fury and Joshua to beat him too.
There's some very good competition at cruiser I don't want to see him jump up to HW and be ineffective just because he's not big enough.
I'm sure he had a nice amateur career and all that but who exactly has he faced @ cruiserweight to justify all this talk of total dominance? He keeps getting fed these cans & stiffs, he's going to be in for a rude awakening.
I think Usyk loses to Wlad, would be a very live underdog against Povetkin and be 50/50 vs Wilder, Fury, Pulev.
