Froch has been a shining example of mandibular fortitude. Perhaps, the best after Vitali of the modern era. However, it's clear he has now passed his chin prime, and it's very possible Groves shatters that once iron jaw in brutal fashion.

Getting floored for 2 seconds does not mean you have a glass jaw. So Fury and Broner should be given the benefit of the doubt, for now.

Marciano suffered two flash knockdowns by two reigning undisputed world champions. In 49 fights, Marciano always fought aggressively, which means he was easier to hit than a defensive fighter like Ali, for example.

Getting floored only twice by punches he didn't see coming is no shame. Marciano got up right away and brutally KOed both Walcott and Moore.

Difference is, that amateur was a light heavyweight, not a welterweight, because this is the size difference we're talking about! :rofl

I remember you talking about Wilder being knocked out in the amateur ranks. What about Kovalev. There is video of him being kod in half a round in the amateurs.

    Whadaya think about that?

I have expressed my concerns and doubts about his Chin in many threads on here. Not sold Kovalev has a good Chin. Also not sold on Thurman yet either. :good

No- a thick neck doesn't always mean no glass. See hype job Broner as an example of this.

No question. Only blind fanboys or dogmatic glass jaw deniers don't recognize this.

Bottom line, if you don't have a chin, you are gonna hit the canvas. It's only a question of when.
