Let's Talk Khan,Impressions ??

I wasn't impressed at all by Khan.
He held all night and the ref let him - only taking a point away when Amir needed a breather, convenient.
Collazo had his hands by his side all night, wasn't allowed to fight AT ALL on the inside - and still nearly KO'd Khan. Of course for the rest of fight Khan looked ok, because it was purely an outside fight, hit and hold.. Repeat, hit and hold.. Hit and hold.
I thought the fight was a joke, GBP were exposed hard. All the fans want is an even contest.

 

khan has decent pop at mid range especially to the body. like to see him develop more openings to throw these. would make opponents think more about just pressing forward all the time

 

Good performance, maybe his best so far. Speed was all the way there, good pop on his punches, defense better than i've seen it, and he wasn't rushing himself like he used to do so often.

With that said, Collazo looked horrible. Stationary, not active enough, not making adjustments... but Khan deserves some credit for that, too. He kept a steady stream of long, super fast punches on Collazo that were maybe a little harder than Collazo expected coming in.

 

Haha claiming that Khans point deduction was in his favour?

Also a khan maidana rematch would be a huge event

I would advise against it for khan though

 

Virgil would have khan targeting the bodyshots a lot more in a rematch. total abandoned them in the first fight
