I will never absolutely "know" what exactly happened in that fight. All I can say is this...

It's never good in an apology letter to have to make multiple excuses(for lack of a better word). It's always trouble to when he has to explain the fall, explain how the landing hurt him, and then explain why he did not move...that's just trouble. Even if people are accusing him of all these things he would have been better served addressing only one issue such as: why he didn't continue.

As has been mentioned ad nauseum here his past doesn't help him looking to quit against Margarito and of course against Martinez staying on his knee for 9.9999999 seconds and then when the ref calls it off, he begins freaking out like he wants to fight.

Dude, he's posting in part because us other posters want to know the dirt on cintron and plus of the recent hijinks of Cintron and because his character is probably a little relevant to whether cintron played this up. It's not like the guy is posting daily about what a douche Cintron is. I think most would take opportunities to badmouth the guy at relevant times if they were screwed as he claims.

The way Kermit conducts himself in his personal life with his family, friends, wife, and children is directly relevant to his performances in the ring. All of those things are relevant to his character as a man. he has used, and betrayed everyone that has helped him throughout his life. When he fails he blames someone else for it. Never once has he shouldered the blame for a failure in the ring or out of it. So everything I have said about Kermit reflects his in the ring behavior.
As for Kermit being here to defend himself. That's laughable. There is no defense from the truth. Do you expect him to say come on here and say "yeah everything Joe said is the truth." Of course not! The kind of person that owns up to there mistakes and failures is not the kind of person that does the things Kermit has done.
Every time I have seen Kermit since we parted ways he reacts the same way. The moment he notices me he puts his head down! Why do you think that is. Shame, embarrassment, and fear. I sure as hell don't put my head down. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I treat Kermit very well, and can hold my head up in front of him or any one in regards to that situation for that very reason.

As far as Kermit not having the opportunity to tell his side of the story, conditioner1 has basically admitted his identity and if Cintron wanted to defend the accusations he could (either in court, by public statement, or even on these forums )

Here is a quote from the letter his manager/lawyer wrote to the CSAC. "While the two ringside physicians certainly seemed to have Mr. Cintron’s health and best interests in mind, it had to have been obvious to them that he had just taken a hard fall, and that he needed some time to recover. He was gasping for air, and communicated that he has lost his wind. Mr. Cintron repeatedly and unequivocally said that he needed to catch his breath, and once he did, stated that he wanted to continue fighting."
Now I am sure many of you have legitimately had the wind knocked out of you. Does anyone ever remember being able to talk while not being able to take a breath? I know when I have been hurt by a body shot, or had the wind knocked out of me one thing I was absolutely incapable of doing it was talking.

Yeah he most certainly could... if I were lying, but I am not. There is no defense from the truth. Every time he fights he proves most of what I am saying to be true.
I worked wit Julian Letterlough for FREE. Never made a dime off him. You would NEVER hear me say anything negative about him. Why? Because Julian was a stand-up guy. Trained his ass off for Marshall and I. Respected us for the time, money, and effort we invested in him. Had the BEST work ethic of anyone I ever worked with.
Now that being said... what was Julian in the ring? A stand-up guy. A warrior. A man of strong character. A warrior. It's no coincidence that his dedication to training, and out of the ring character mirrored his performances in the ring.

Yup, that was my point. Thanks for posting all that you have because us fans wouldn't get some of the behind the scenes info without it.

    I'm with you Bro!!

To me they're to many variables why I think Cintron didn't want to continue!!

    1. PW had started turning the heat up
    2. Cintron got caught with 3 good lefts
    3. When Cintron hit PW with a good right hand PW still came forward
    4. Cintron could have fell straight on top of ropes
    5. Cintron could have at least grab for the ropes instead of going through
    6. Cintron rolled on top of table rather than landed flush
    7. Cintron went to hold the back of his head for no reason:huh
    8. When Cintron was on floor he stayed in the same position for 5 minutes
    9. The doctors even said he didn't want to continue twice

    10. Cintron's history

I personally think when Kermit realized PW was gonna step up the heat he realized that he was gonna be in there for a real tough fight!!!!!!

You are welcome. I don;t think I would even bother with it any more if he would stop taking cheap shots at Marshall and I. When he makes comments like "with Ronnie Shields I am getting the one on one attention I always needed." How the **** does he think he go where he is today? Marshall and I were invested in his career 24/7/365. That's how we made up for his late start. All Kermit had to do was train, rest, and fight. Everything else was taken care of by us. He had our undivided attention both in and out of the ring. At one point we considered him family. He lived with me for over 3 yrs. for him to say he never got the attention he needed is a slap in the face to everything Marshall and I provided him. How he can make statements like that is beyond my comprehension. Just goes to show how much of a creep he is.

    Much respect to you bud.

Although what some people say are correct regarding leaving the past between you and Kermit behind for your own sake. But it really isn't easy to forget *******s who you once considered family ending up backstabbing you. Emotions will run deep both ways, once you cared for the ******* like a brother, you will also be that much more pissed once backstabbed.

Can't blame you for coming here to both help inform the fans of the true Kermit and also get to vent some anger. Personally I appreciate the info. even though I disliked Kermit for quite some time from his *****-ass attitude in the ring. It is good to hear from other sources especially ones that had personal close long-term experience with him to confirm what I thought of him as a woman.

You have done your part man, just live on with the good parts in life and ignore that *******. Karma does come around. He may be happy with his money and fake friends for the time being, but by the time he realize he have no one who truly cares about his existance, it will be too late for him. If anything, I would feel more sorry for that unfortunate ******* for not realizing what is more important and in truth he will be losing out more than you. Money and fame can only give you so much, celebrities in general tend to have more serious problems staying happy than a normal person imo.

Thanks, well said! He was at one time the closest friend I ever had. I remember when Marshall was pushing for us to get him signed to a contract. It caused a lot of friction between Marshall and I because I was against it. Kermit was my friend, and I felt the contract was an insult to our friendship.
Marshall kept saying "Joe, trust me. Fighters are all nuts. Kermit might change if we really succeed. trust me it's the right thing to do." Marshall was right.

I thought I told you to jump into an empty pool:patsch Cintron was beat down not once but TWICE by Margarito, quit in the first fight tried to quit in the second. PWilliams beat the version of Margarito, pre-hand wrap scandal, who made Cintron cry in the ring not once but twice. Williams holds a win over Martinez, controversial as it was, which is no where near as controversial as Cintron's draw with Martinez. Which is another time Cintron tried to quit, only this time after getting legitimately knocked down. When it happens once it means nothing, twice it could be a coincidence, after that consider it a pattern. Cintron has proven his lack of balls time and time again, PWilliams has never quit or indicated he wanted to quit in a fight. So questioning anyone's ball's is very ignorant, especially from a supposedly impartial boxing writer. Of course if you are getting paid to hype Cintron or have some other arrangement that wouldn't surprise me given how unprofessional you come across. If you are advising Cintron, seeing as both Berto and Pwilliams have HBO contracts and irrespective of how those fighters feel about fighting Cintron HBO won't have Cintron on its air again until he redeems himself. Therefore. Cintron should fight Clottey, Collazo, Daniel Santos, Joacim Alcine, etc...Guys who he can fight on Showtime, ESPN, Versus, Comcast, etc... HBO, from what I hear, doesn't want him. Compare the crowd when Margarito fought Williams in the Home Depot center to Cintron's fight, Cintron can only draw on the east coast and even his fans don't know if he'll quit on them, so he loses more fans every time he lays down or in this case jumps out of the ring.

An impartial boxing writer says a guy "doesn't have any balls", to goad a fighter into fighting a guy, ie-cintron, that the writer has some type of bias for. Tell the truth Gabe are you a 40 year old, community college dropout, and a live in the basement virgin or are you a 16 year old pimply teenager posing as a boxing writer? Either way you are a disgrace to the boxing media, the same way Max Kellerman is. Go write another mailbag, that only your mother and the people whose letter you responded to read:D

Mate, you do yourself no favours. the way you slate cintron so much, especially having a professional link to him, makes you look like a *****.

if cintron was such a coward he wouldnt have rematched margo, fought martinez, fought angulo nor fought w
