Matthysse vs Maidana is an interesting fight, only thing is Maidana's fight night weight is 164 lbs and Matthysse fight night weight being around 150 lbs, that weight difference could play a big factor down the stretch. I don't think Matthysse could make the fight as competitive as Maidana did against Floyd but at the same time I had Matthysse beating Alexander which Maidana couldn't do.
Whats that got to do with the Maidana vs Mathysse match up - like you said style makes fights, go watch mathysse vs Molina, Maidana fights similar to Molina just does everything better, theres a reason Mathysse was never willing to step in the ring with Maidana, kept dismissing him saying am better than him... still a 50/50 fight mathysse has the better chin and is stronger at taking body punches, but Maidana has a massive workrate advantage on top of his greater heart in my opinion, also has the better jab
