You know, I roll my eyes plenty enough at Max's commentary, like with most commentators, but I genuinely don't understand the depth of disdain he's received on this forum. I think I'd enjoy hanging out with Max. I thought he came across very well here.

Did they even test for most PEDs back then? Were a lot of PEDs even banned? WADA didn't even exist back then.

Couldn't test for things like EPO or HGH, and things like andro were available over the counter back then.

I'm sure they took things that would be considered banned today or be able to be picked up with modern testing.

I'm glad this point has been raised. It's blatantly obvious these fighters were roiders. A myth as been perpetuated that a certain demographic is naturally built like body builders, a way for 'Westerners' to excuse their manufactured sporting idols.

In fact peoples who evolved in Africa are naturally lanky to cope with the heat which is why they get frost bite much easier than Europeans, who actually are less lanky on average. In fact Europeans have a small percentage of Neanderthal admix, people who truly were tanks.

If you see naturally tall and lanky people looking like tanks, especially when they started out much skinnier in the amateurs, it's a good clue they are MASSIVE PED CHEATS. It's pretty simple stuff.

And it's also obvious that roids were extremely common in those times and the physiques are highly suspect all around in that era and in all sports too.

Lewis was roided out of his mind, just like Tyson and Evan Fields and Tommy Morrison too if we want to be diverse and inclusive. At least Tommy admitted it though, good for him.
