Lewis won the first fight 9-3 and the second fight 8-4. He owned Holyfield, and would own Holyfield 10 times out of 10.
I think the 2nd fight proves otherwise and exposed Lewis to what might have been with Holy in his prime.
Well If you read Frank Lotierzo's article that I linked, Frank states that he thinks Lewis DID win the 2nd fight (he had it 7-5). I was only pointing out my scoring for the fight which I think is very close. But I encourage anyone to read that article - it really breaks down both Lewis and Holyfield's careers nicely in an objective fashion. Here is the link to the article again http://www.eastsideboxing.com/boxing-news/lotierzo1608.php Oh and Lewis's decisive win over Holyfield in their 1st fight absolutely counts as much as their close 2nd fight. I was only pointing out that the fact that Holyfield did as well as he did in the 2nd fight, given that he was past his prime but still formidable, was just one of many reasons why I think a prime Holyfield would beat a prime Lewis.
I had the first fight 8-4 for Lewis, I had the second fight a draw. In the second fight there were so many close rounds that could of gone to either fighter, but in the end it worked out right, with Lewis winning one and the other fight being called a draw.
Lewis is a sportsman, streetfights are irrelevant to sport which is something Dana White and Joe Rogan dont realise when they talk about mma being more like a real fight. Its the sweet science that we are enthralled by not a bouncers convention in a cage.
No, not pointless at all drex. Would have proved without that lucky cut, Vitali was the superior man in the ring! The lucky cut changed everything, and that was the basis of the stoppage in the end when lennox had run out!
There are so many people here who say a 34 year old Lewis beating a 36 year old Holyfield meant nothing, yet the same people are prepared to talk as if a 31 year old Vitali doing well against an almost 38 year old Lewis proves he is superior lol. Funny how the double standards work! As for the "lucky cut", the multiple cuts were caused by heavy punches, thats no more lucky than any knockout punch ever landed in any boxing match.
MMA is the fastest growng sport in the world. As soon as DLH retires, MMA will surpass boxing. I love boxing too, but this is just the truth.
the king of streetfights, Kimbo, backed down from Lewis, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un0LQhJHCNc Funny ****:rofl
