HOLMES FOUGHT SHAVERS WHEN SHAVERS WAS 35.....HOLMES FOUGHT NORTON WHEN NORTON WAS 32....A BIT PAST HIS PEAK.......I JUST WISH LEWIS FOUGHT HOLY IN 93.......I WISH TYSON DIDNT GO TO JAIL CAUSE TYSON WAS 25 IN 92 AND LEWIS WAS 27........THE FIGHT IN 2002 WAS JUST A MEAL TICKET FOR TYSON....:smoke:smoke.....ALTHOUGH IT WAS TYSONS FAULT TO BE FAT.....NOT LENNOX.

Hang on, you've been basing your stone-cold-certain viewpoint on Holyfield winning the second fight based off a single viewing over 8 years ago...? With ringside fans cheering on Holyfield's every punch?

Look sugarloaf, I can usually pick who wins on a single viewing. Do you watch a fight until you see what you want to see?

However, with all the schoolboy interest in the outcome, I wouldn't mind seeing it again if someone has a link to it. :think :smooch

Or you can just admit to all of us that you have not actually seen the fight because that is the way you sound, at least to me. :yep

Correct! What is your definiton of a one-punch KO?
Are you saying that the flush right hand Rahman caught Lennox with before the KO punch had zero effect? Wow! Lennox must have had a granite chin after all!

Lennox was never dominated like Frazier was against Foreman, or Louis was against Ezzard Charles.
Was never knocked down by someone like Bert Cooper.
Was never KO'd in 1 round twice or KO'd in 3 by someone like Ingmar Johansson like Patterson was.
Was never beaten by someone like Marty Marshall or KO'd in 1/took a dive like Liston.

None of those are "Black Marks" in your opinion?

Whatever man, I'm not having this conversation again. Holyfield was a great heavyweight and way above Lennox in an All-Time P4P list.

    Lets leave it at that.

That I agree 100%. A lot of people conviniently forgot that Holy wasn't just a great heavyweight. But also the greatest cruiser of all time. P4P, Holy did a lot of marvel in two weight classes.

He never had a consistant run at heavyweight, he beat old Holmes and old Foreman, barely made it out of the fight with Cooper then lost to Bowe, when he fought Lewis he was actually on his most consistant championship run.

Agree. It is very convenient for Lewis hater to discredit Lewis' win over Holyfield using Holyfield's age. What they do not want to moention is that Holyfield was on a roll during those times, he beat Tyson 2X, avenged his loss to Moorer and beat the undefeated Vaughn Bean. Holyfield greatness was at his peak those times and many predicted he would beat Lewis easily. Lewis was thought to be just another bump in the road. Boy, Lewis absolutely dominated in the 1st fight.

Holyfield 96-98 was so much better than Holyfield 92-96 in a lot of ways. His packs more power on his punches, his chin got better, better pacing and got wiser overall in fighting.

The Holyfield that Lennox clearly beat in the first fight was Unified Champion and Ring Magazine #1.

    I do not like Lummox.

I don't like his lame poems, his "hold the neck and hit with a right uppercut" style, his boring interviews "wow, I say the word 'definitely' a lot and have a British accent so I must be smart", his "wear the cup up to my shoulder blades" tactic, his fake Jamaican accent when he big-ups whatever.

He's probably top ten, but I still do not like Lummox.

The only thing I really like about him is that he beat Vitali and made him cry like Scott Tenorman.
