    It was a slow comprehensive beatdown. Ritson might have won two exchanges. Didn't come close to winning a round though.

    It's embarrassing seeing a robbery on these shores, it's slightly embarrassing when there is a premature stoppage. This is just disgusting that a referee decides to not protect a fighter when the corner has thrown the towel in, in clear view.

    What the **** is all the hate for Ritson about? I get he got a gift decision but, that ain't really his fault. He's incredibly limited but, he's got serious heart. He got the crap beat out of him by Petera, took another pasting tonight and too many on here seem over joyed about the fact.

    The referee has no obligation to stop a match due to a towel being thrown in, and there are matches with rules stating the match cannot be stopped due to a towel is thrown in. It has happened a towel has been thrown in from someone in the corner (or others!) without the right to do so on behalf of the corner.

    In this case Ritson said he was OK, and wanted to continue, so the referee allowed him to.

    Regardless of the towel this fight went on far too long anyways, Ritson had nothing on his shots as early as RD7 and was getting a systematic beatdown.
    At the end of round 8 he already looked defeated as I wrote in here
