Both Shannon Brigg's and Frank Bruno gave a young Lewis tough fight s ,for a while. So who wins between the 2 with those versions ?
I would normally go for big Frank in these sort of match ups. But Im cautious saying that here. Briggs had Lewis rocking a few times ,could hr do the same with Bruno? I'm not sure Frank gets him out fast either. Bruno should win ,he's got the jab to ram in and the power but he may find himself hurt himself and have to dig deep.
Not sure Lewis was in complete control ,he looked out of sort's at times, definitely not his greatest performance. Bruno was giving him some leather with the jab .Wasn't Frank slightly ahead at the end ? But Lewis s power came through at the end .
Bruno performed far better vs Lewis and imo was better than Briggs. He outjabbed him for a while and llanded a right hand on lewis'cheek that would have sent his consciousness into space had it connected any closer to his chin. But unfortunately for him, as almost always he found a way to gass out, make some big mistakes and get almost killed by a massive left hook by lewis
Lol sorry, I misread your post regarding Lewis v Brigg's, I thought you was talking about Bruno .Your correct in that, Lewis was in a lot more control against Brigg's .Old Shannon did ,I believe stunn Lennox but there was never any doubts who'd win there.
Poor Frank certainly broke a few hearts every time he lost .He seemed to have the Nation rooting for him in the 80 s and early 90 s . Your right about the punch he landed on Lewis! Could have nearly being Franks moment of Glory.
Bruno fought a young Lewis. Briggs fought a better Lewis who got better at adapting to jabbers. I think motivated Briggs wins this against a Bruno after Tyson. Briggs had Lewis stunned more and wobbled him , Bruno would need to keep Briggs off him , Lewis was far harder to get at them Bruno was. I'm not so sure Bruno handles fast paced fighters well who could punch . Maybe Bruno beats Briggs years earlier then 93 .
Shannon the Cannon. He can hang tougher of the two & would need to. But after about 5 rounds, Frank is going to get hit with something big and then go into his freeze up thing. He really needed Francis to teach him how to hold or to have that kind of instinct to hold when stung.
Briggs who fought Lewis was extremely tought and got up numbers of times. What a beating the man took! He would succeed vs. Bruno, who might be ahead on points.
