Every so often posters, usually Holyfield nuthuggers, point to this fight as to why a prime Holyfield would bet Lewis or why he should be rated higher than Lewis. Many then go onto to say Holyfield should have gotten the nod in this fight.

Here's my take on this fight.

First it was closer than in New York (1st fight) everyone can agree with that. That said Lewis land over 50 more punches than Holyfied did and as a result, the rounds Lewis did win, were for the most part easy to score.

He clearly won rounds 1,2,4,10,11 and he deserved to get credit for rounds 8 & 9.

    Holyfield clearly won round 6

Close rounds that an argument could be made for Holyfield, include rounds 3, 5, 7, 12

That's it. You can't give him anymore rounds if you try.

the judges scored it 115-113, 116-112, 117-111 all for Lewis.

So who wants to make an argument that Holyfield won this fight?

Lewis, close but clear. Credit to Holyfield though, this time he came prepared with a great gameplan.

Lewis had one of his off nights but he still won quite comfortably. He did not jab and move as much as he did in the first meeting for some reason.

I stopped reading after that, in first round Holly outworked and
out-landed Lewis 2-1 ... Lewis barely thrown punches while Holly was
clear attacker and landed a lot of body punches ... so bull**** bull****!

Lewis won a 7-5, 8-4 (my card) type of fight.

Lewis was the only one visibly hurt in the second fight; so, Holyfield won. You stupid Canuck.
