I know, it's a bit of an old chestnut, but I respect Classic's opinion and I'd like to get some kind of definitive feeling here about this one. What is, sadly, the last time we had an undisputed heavyweight title fight, the WBO still viewed as a trinket belt back then.

I have an idea of what I think will get the most votes on the poll, but I'd like to see what comes up. If you have some different scores not listed due to rounds scored even, post about them and just go with whatever the closest score is you feel comfortable with.

Scorecards are great if you have them, though not essential.

I know I had it 7-5 for Lewis.

Cant really remember what rounds went where though but I recall expecting Lewis to win more convincingly, so I almost thought he lost until I tallied my scores up.

Hit the wrong option for voting. Meant to vote 116-112: Lewis.

i do like watching this fight, cant really understand why people see it so close, i only had holyfield winning 3 close rounds, with one split and 8 to lewis. I'm not normally a biased person on these threads so please dont take what i'm saying about holyfield just because i'm from England, i just really cant see how people thought Holyfield was close to winning this one.

I scored it about 7 rounds to 5 for Lewis, but I can see it being 7-4-1 or even 8-4 for him as well. He just outworked Holy. Holy would've been lucky just to get a draw (again).

I agree with bizzer, about the same scorecard. And like Bizzer, I dont understand why people have it close or even a win for Holyfiled. Yes Evander did a better job. BUT he still lost by a wide margin imo.

Actually me too, because these were my favourite heavyweights of the ninties. I liked that both had their moments, more so than the lopsided first fight. But still felt that Lewis did enough.

Some guys called it all boring and I just can't see that. It wasn't action for all 12, but the stretch from rounds 6-9 in particular was stirring stuff.

Thanks to all for the feedback so far. Much appreciated.

I think that monster uppercut that Lewis landed in the 9th to end Holyfield's onslaught was where the fight slipped away for the Bald Warrior. How he stayed upright from that punch is beyond me, but i think Lewis won most rounds after and including that one.

Haven't seen the fight in ages but I did participate in numerous threads about this fight in the general forum. I personally scored the fight 8-4 and after one of those tread debates on this fight I watched it again..and scored it the same, but I will admit one could conceivably score it 7-5. But that would be giving Holyfield the benefit of all the close rounds, which if I recall correctly were surprisingly few. I also recall trying to give (unbiasedly of course) another round and I simply couldn't. So I don't know how posters such as Zak can honestly say this scoring was payback for Lewis not winning the first fight, this simply isn't true, as the judges scorecards were exactly reflective of this fight and the first fight had no bearing on the scoring of this fight whatsoever.

I'm not one to critisize other posters, but the poll results are rather strange. How could anyone has either fighter winning more than 10 rounds, especially Holyfield. What fight were they watching?

Just remember that it was closer than the first fight and that both Holyfield fights made me realize that while Lennox was a big and gifted fighter, smaller fighters like Jo Louis wold have destroyed him ... in 24 rounds he was not able to really land his right on Evander who was no defensive master ... Lennox teed off on big guys orslower small guys but a smaller man that could move and hit would beat him ... in the first bout the 37 year old Evander actually had him hurt and Evander was no Louis when it came to speed or power ...
