Lewis: "I could be still a top HW at 54 years old"

Lennox Lewis. Was he drunk? High or is it the same kind of mental illness that Tyson Fury has where you say any nonsense that gets you attention? I’d have to say the third. He was on Joe Rogan a while back claiming that the 36 Tyson he defeated was “prime Tyson”. GTFOH

 

offensively maybe, but once he is hit his age would be a big problem. I don't think this statement if true. Once he is hit I don't think he would take it well, and that is the difference. If he can go in there and land his right immediately. Sure. He could be top. What about when he has to fight Fury , or Wilder or Joshua or even Vlad if he comes back.

 

Absolutely love the man, but stay retired.

If you HAVE to come back, it should be an old-timer fight against someone like Vitaly. He said once that he would come back to fight Bowe, but Bowe really does have some damage, so Vitaly would be the fight.

But retired is best of all. Nothing to prove, champ.

 

Lennox needs to come out of retirement & assert his legitimate claim to the Lineal H/W championship of the World.

His earlier claim in time takes precedence over that of Tyson Fury.

Lennox may know what would be needed to beat the top heavyweights, as he is a knowledgeable guy, but his 54 yr old mind, mouth and ego are writing cheques his body cannot cash.

Being a 6'5 heavyweight is nothing special in 2019 like it was back in the 90s and early 2000s. He'd be shorter than Wilder, Fury and Joshua. The Steward jab and grab wouldn't work in this era. At 54 he'd be even more useless.

 

And how did he fare in the rematches? Thought so.

 

As if anti-doping agencies are effective. The half life of EPO, for example, is 5 hours and random drug testing agencies are not permitted to test between the hours of midnight and 8am, most of the time. The are absolutely useless in many ways.

Wow this is ignorant. In his prime Lewis was 100x the fighter any of the current top heavyweights are.

 

He didn’t do **** in the McCall rematch, he fought a mentally unstable individual who wasn’t fit for a boxing match.

 

Bowe is a couple punches away from being a vegetable.

 

Couldn't put a dent in a guy who wasn't even defending himself.
